Rise in Non-Covid-19 Deaths Hits Life Insurers. Companies believe lack of medical treatment during pandemic has contributed to deaths from other causes
Wall Street Journal ^ | February 23, 2022 | Leslie Scism

U.S. life insurers, as expected, made a large number of Covid-19 death-benefit payouts last year. More surprisingly, many saw a jump in other death claims, too.

Industry executives and actuaries believe many of these other fatalities are tied to delays in medical care as a result of lockdowns in 2020, and then, later, people’s fears of seeking out treatment and trouble lining up appointments.

Trade group American Council of Life Insurance said the pandemic in 2020 drove the biggest annual increase in death benefits paid by U.S. carriers since the 1918 influenza epidemic, totaling billions of dollars. The hit to the industry’s bottom line has been less than initially feared, however, because many victims have been older people who typically have smaller policies, if any coverage.

Some insurers see continued high levels of these deaths for some time, even if Covid-19 deaths decline this year.

In earnings calls for the past two quarters, Globe Life Inc., Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Primerica Inc. and Reinsurance Group of America Inc. were among insurers noting higher non-Covid-19 deaths, compared with pre-pandemic baselines.

“The losses we are seeing continue to be elevated over 2019 levels due at least in part, we believe, to the pandemic and the existence of either delayed or unavailable healthcare,” Globe Life finance chief Frank Svoboda told analysts and investors earlier this month.

Among the non-coronavirus-specific claims are deaths from heart and circulatory issues and neurological disorders, he said. “We anticipate that they’ll start to be less impactful over the course of 2022 but we do anticipate that we’ll still at least see some elevated levels throughout the year,” he said.

Primerica executives similarly cautioned in their fourth-quarter call about outsize numbers of non-Covid-19 deaths in 2022.

Courant is MSM out of the insurance capital !!

The Hartford Courant story was written by an Alex Putterman, who's apparently a real medical expert: "Since joining The Courant in 2018, he has covered UConn football and the Huskies athletic department, plus sports betting, stadium economics, local mascot debates and more. Previously, he contributed to publications including The Atlantic, VICE, MLB.com and Awful Announcing."

Alex Putterman cites propagandists such as Dr. Adam Steinberg, a vice president for medical affairs at Hartford HealthCare, for the reasons behind the increasing number of illnesses.

People aren't just "reluctant" to go back for treatment, they absolutely don't trust their previous doctors. It's not "health care fatigue” where "people are tired of talking about their health care", it's that people know their doctors outright lied to them.

In the beginning of the Scamdemic, I thought it would take a generation for the medical profession to regain the trust they threw away but since then think it's never going to. When government employees conspire with pharmaceutical and healthcare korporations to lie, hide data, and bastardize known science, there's nothing left.

“Among the non-coronavirus-specific claims are deaths from heart and circulatory issues and neurological disorders”

Quite a coincidence. The same areas of concern we have seen from the injections. But, I guess the Wall Street Journal has thoroughly examined research into that - well, as thorough as they can with what the CDC shoves under their nose as data.

Stating anything beyond the official line could get a paper in big trouble these days.

“Maybe I should by a few months of food from Patriot supply ...”

Honestly, I have seriously been considering that.

It had nothing to do with it. This was all a about what Trump inarticulately warned about when he was moving to reopen the economy. Delayed scans and screenings, delayed surgeries, depression from virtual home confinement all took their toll along with Covid. But what did Joe do about it? More died under his watch with mask policies and vaccines at hand.

It’s almost laughable how they don’t bother to mention the 900 lb. gorilla in the room.

--- "Compare the COVID death rate to almost any other country on the planet. It's abysmal."

That is among the factual truths all the "official" data sources show, when doing simple mortality calculations.

The Fauci-Collins-Walensky show spewing out free marketing for liability-shielded pharmaceutical companiess for STILL experimental mRNA drugs has proven this cabal -- yes, I mean the word -- at the minimum inept, logically corrupt and, at worst, murderous.

No doubt. Ignoring the prevalent bias which inflates the classified deaths, the most astonishing contrast is the one country which has vanished from media reporting altogether.

You know which country to which I refer (Sweden).

Is it any wonder that included in that BBB bill was a massive payoff to the media?

The spike is much too large to be accounted for solely by failure to go to the doctors. There are also the other problems caused by lockdowns, which put people in jeopardy a million different ways; and the open borders, which impact health through drugs, violence and contagion.

My best guess is that spike protein is bolloxing our bodies in every possible way. It is a bioweapon that has spread throughout the population. In a few more years, there will be a crisis of infertility and maybe another one of birth defects. More young people will be dying of heart disease, and we may see new contagions that shouldn't kill but do because of weakened immunity.

Sure, that’s it. Lots of excess mortality because of lack of treatment and hesitation to get medical attention.

Why didn’t we all think of that?

Got it.

Somewhat related, did you know that the vaccine and having covid elevate PSA? That is what the medicos are saying after seeing a rise in false positives. The alternative is painful biopsy that often proves nothing or a new MRI scan procedure that has high effectiveness and does not even require a radiologist to read.

How do they know these are “false positives” instead of early warnings of damage from the trillions of spike protein?

Was just reading that.

Lots of issues. Some is delayed care. Some is a result of depression/isolation.

But what ever is doing it, it is big enough the death industry is seeing boom times beyond covid.

the unwarranted panic, useless lockdowns, and economic destruction deliberately induced by Democrat demagogues and their wholly-owned media subsidiaries were the major cause of massive excess death rate increases. Along with outlawing the use of effective therapeutics such as ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine and then nationally withdrawing monoclonal antibodies, the DELIBERATE mass murder of our populace by the Democrats has set a record for mass murder in the U.S. that will probably stand until the end of our Republic.

Watching to see if and when the insurance companies sue the drug makers or government, even thought there is alleged immunity.

Why not stock up with real food? I’ve got a year supply of normal foods in my pantry and shelves, things I normally eat or would eat. Why buy stuff that will go stale and never be eaten except in an emergency when there is no choice?

Why not stock up with real food?

Yep, that's a good alternative. Most canned foods last at least 3 years until Brandon is gone.
