Putin is Playing Biden like a Fiddle
American Thinker.com ^ | February 22, 2022 | J. Robert Smith

Vlad Putin, the evil though very calculating chief oligarch of the shriveled nation of Russia (when stacked against its predecessor, the Soviet Union), is playing chess over the fate of Ukraine, while our figurehead president and his gaggle of administration mediocrities (here being charitable) and Pentagon toadies play checkers. I’ll venture this wager -- though with modest reservations: Putin will bring Ukraine into his orbit without sending his troops en masse into said country.

On Monday, Putin recognized Russian-dominated regions of the Ukraine, followed by a minor incursion of "peacekeepers," travelling by bus, not APC.

Putin doesn't need a full-scale invasion, I believe, because his approach is strategic. His eye is on the prize: take Ukraine in some shape or form (as he took parts on Monday). He’s open to the means, no doubt, and if an invasion -- likely surgical in nature -- is his only route to achieve his ends, he’ll take the gamble. The U.S. declared that it won’t send troops to defend Ukraine. NATO is in tow. Speaking of which, that woeful collection of nations called “NATO” (including the now Russia-compromised Germany, which sorely needs Russian natural gas), is in no position to stop him, short of major war.

Sanctions after-the-fact, as our addled president is pushing, will not deter Putin. He sees weakness and irresolution among western leaders, Biden first and foremost. Chances are he’ll make the assumption that sanctions would be short-lived, anyway. Always follow the money, which corrupt Western elites are hooked on worse than crack.

Make no mistake, a major land war in Eastern Europe would not only result in significant death and destruction, but risks escalation -- a broadening that can be somewhat gamed but not fully predicted.

Yep, I said this yesterday in a post and had posted such thoughts a few days earlier as well.

Think Sudetenland, very much his strategic model right now in his goals.

.
The Leaders, Media, and Deep State just spent two years telling us only Science matters, and if you don’t follow the professed science, you don’t deserve to work or participate in society.

What does Science tell us here?

Russia has more men. Russia has better weapon systems, Russia has more warheads.

Science dictates any monies spent in this effort is thrown away and further damaging a country 30 Trillion in debt, give or take.

The money has been spent and Science is the way. No county needs more assistance than the US middle class.

To be fair, Biden would need help to function at a Forrest Gump level.

Russia has more men.

You should NOT have killed over 62,000,000 future Americans in the last 40+ years!

He’s got Biden guessing. Putin is literally invading Ukraine and all we see is condemnation , no action. Brilliant. Invading to save the Ukraine…lol

Harris went over there and played the fool. Now she owns this failure along with Joe.

Most incompetent president since Carter and we have three years more of this.

“Most incompetent president since Carter”

This is where I usually say something along the lines of; “That is an insult to .....”

But I lived through the Carter years. I remember that 13.5% mortgage. I remember that inflation eating up a damn decent paycheck. I remember the Iran Hostage Crisis.

So Yep, Dimjo is at least as incompetent as Carter. Add in his corruption. And his lifetime of dishonesty. And his senility.
Yep he is worse than Carter.

I remember that 13.5% mortgage.

I guess mine was a blessing at 13%!

What is really going to upset many will be the shock when the current rates return to “normal” rates, somewhere in the 6% range. It surely will put a damper on the RE market.

Had Hitler stopped at the Sudetenland, he could have defended his actions. Those were ethnic German, German speaking people who were never asked. If they wanted to be an oppressed minority in a newly created Czech state. Had a plebiscite been held, there is no doubt they would have voted freely and fairly to join Germany.

So it is with the Russian areas of Ukraine.

*If* Putin stops there, I don’t really have a problem with it. Just because Hitler was an imperialist who did want to occupy other countries, that does not mean every leader is. We’ll have to see with Putin. Was pushing Russia into China’s arms really wise for the US? I don’t think it was.

So it is with the Russian areas of Ukraine.

Every poll in Ukraine of Russian speakers showed majority wanted to stay part of Ukraine. Except for Crimea.

Wasn’t majority even there - https://www.iri.org/wp-content/uploads/legacy/iri.org/2013%20October%207%20Survey%20of%20Crimean%20Public%20Opinion,%20May%2016-30,%202013.pdf

In May 2013 only 23% of the people polled there wanted Crimea to be Russia.

Carter at least was a Southern Baptist Sunday school teacher who read the Bible and after his presidency volunteered building houses for the poor. He tried to bring peace to the middle east. He was a veteran.

Biden is a complete scumbag money-grabbing crappy husband, father, and human being and he’s basically a curse on America for our sins. Our Ahab.
