According to new statistics released on Friday, homicide, rape and burglary are all up in liberal-leaning Atlanta in 2022.
Homicides are up 43% so far this year compared with the same period in 2021, according to the Atlanta Police Department, and are on track to beat last year's 30-year high of 158 killings.
There have been 20 homicides in Georgia's capital city thus far, compared with 14 at the same point last year.
With 37 reported so far this year, compared with 11 at the same time in 2021, rapes are up 236%, police said.

I don’t know. Atlanta is going to have to work awfully hard if they want to catch Chicago.
Low impulse control criminals got the go-ahead signal from the Demonicrats.
Atlanta is trying, but competing with Chicago and Philly is not going to be easy.

I’ve been avoiding going into the City of Atlanta proper since about June of 2020, based on a conversation with our chief of police. They had stopped rendering mutual aid down there because of the DA situation. I figured if they wouldn’t go, I shouldn’t.
It’s a ‘Rat Utopia.
Re-elect them.
Heck, I doubt Atlanta can compete with Baltimordor or Philly. City of Atlanta proper is only about 500,000 population.
I’ve been avoiding cities in general since summer 2020.

From Atlanta...It’s hard to read all the sarcastic remarks about Atlanta when it’s been my playground for so long, but you guys are right. Decent folks are very concerned. Our City has gone the way of liberals. Uncontrollable.
I estimate that for each police officer crucified and criminal deified in the last two years, hundreds of black civilians have subsequently been slaughtered.

Wife and I lived in downtown Atlanta for 9 years until we moved out in 2007. We never had any issues, beyond a small bbq grill being stolen out of the back yard. I really liked living in Atlanta (back then). I wouldn’t go back, with all the race hatred the Dems have stirred up I’d feel like a target. Too bad, Atlanta really was a great city to live in.
