Might a few mil illegal aliens per year add to the housing demand (thus housing shortage thus rent increases)?
Also, change the zoning laws in every city - as has happened in California - allowing up to four units on each lot formerly zoned for single family homes. If it’s near a “transit corridor” (my guess is within 50 miles of a freeway) - up to 10 units are allowed.
