“We have officers from across the province and country here to help us; every person supporting this effort is proud to be here,” he (Steve Bell, Ottawa Interim Chief of Police) declared, suggesting that there is little hesitance among officers about enforcing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s emergency powers clampdown on protestors.

Members of the press gave the police chief some mild pushback on his claim that his men have acted with restraint, with one asking “with respect, sir, can you explain what appears to be excessive force by police officers when a protestor is arrested; there is multiple videos on social media showing police delivering blows with their knee and their fists while the protestors are down — is this necessary?”
Bell claimed he had not “specifically seen the videos you’re talking about”, despite their having gone viral and Canadians and others from across the globe having flagged them with Ottawa Police’s highly active social media accounts.
Bell offered little incentive for the remaining members of the Freedom Convoy to go quietly, telling members of the press who asked if he would attempt to take punitive actions against protestors who followed police instructions to abandon their demonstration that they would still be hunted down.
“If you were involved in this protest we will actively look to identify you and follow up with financial sanctions and criminal charges, absolutely,” the police chief warned.
“This investigation will go on for months to come. It has many, many different streams, both from a federal, financial level, from a provincial licencing level, from a criminal code level, from a municipal breach of court order, breach of court injunction level,” leaving little doubt that members of the Freedom Convoy will be made an example of regardless of whether or not they departed peacefully.

Canada doesn't need the hatred and murders of police as the U.S. has. But as indicated, everyone and everything has a limit before breaking and I can't see the Canadians standing in the street before the police chanting "we love you" too much longer.
I can see that you are more optimistic than I. I hope that Canadians may yet strike. This would be more than Americans have done since our Federal Government has been illegally seized and American protestors of this have been jailed without bail or trial for over a year.
Also, the Republicans aren’t going to do anything about this. If the RINOs even think that pro-American candidates are going to replace them, they will insure continued Democrat control. At least, that is my expectation.

Note that the Emergency Measures declaration also included an exemption for indigenous, immigrants and “protected classes”. In other words, rightw that were supposedly universal only apply to them now...White Anglo-Saxons and presumably Gallic French are legally stripped of their rights under the proclamation.
Not sure how all the people in Quebec are going to take that. For the many Pied Noir French there, I can safely assure you that they have seen this before and will have no problems defending themselves when the goons come for them.

I curious. Are you aware the Ottawa police chief resigned and that the RCMP and Ontario Provincial authority took over last week prior to Friday’s action?

I completely agree, and would note that my actions are oriented towards disempowering their “government”. Which no longer even vaguely resembles the people it supposedly represents...
It is a serious disconnect. None of the MP’s have any real interest in it.
The Freedom Convoy is hugely supported across Canada.
