“We have officers from across the province and country here to help us; every person supporting this effort is proud to be here,” he (Steve Bell, Ottawa Interim Chief of Police) declared, suggesting that there is little hesitance among officers about enforcing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s emergency powers clampdown on protestors.

Members of the press gave the police chief some mild pushback on his claim that his men have acted with restraint, with one asking “with respect, sir, can you explain what appears to be excessive force by police officers when a protestor is arrested; there is multiple videos on social media showing police delivering blows with their knee and their fists while the protestors are down — is this necessary?”
Bell claimed he had not “specifically seen the videos you’re talking about”, despite their having gone viral and Canadians and others from across the globe having flagged them with Ottawa Police’s highly active social media accounts.
Bell offered little incentive for the remaining members of the Freedom Convoy to go quietly, telling members of the press who asked if he would attempt to take punitive actions against protestors who followed police instructions to abandon their demonstration that they would still be hunted down.
“If you were involved in this protest we will actively look to identify you and follow up with financial sanctions and criminal charges, absolutely,” the police chief warned.
“This investigation will go on for months to come. It has many, many different streams, both from a federal, financial level, from a provincial licencing level, from a criminal code level, from a municipal breach of court order, breach of court injunction level,” leaving little doubt that members of the Freedom Convoy will be made an example of regardless of whether or not they departed peacefully.

The drivers have used vehicles to form a blockade that has blocked several streets near >>. One lie in the article. The streets were not blocked by the truckers, They left open EMT of single lanes in Ottawa. Occasionally that lane was blocked as trucks moved around or i think on friday they blocked the lane for a bit. Many trucks where just sitting parked in open areas. Like near Rideu. The truck there had it’s owners license threatened and it was doing nothing.
It is more difficult to extinguish thousands of smaller fires, than stop one large fire!
Busting heads so everyone can be healthy.

I believe that it is also worse than that. I believe that the Ottawa protestors have made a tremendous sacrifice in order to demonstrate the righteousness of their side. They have been peaceful and suffered at the hands of brutality.
What is seen in Canada and elsewhere, however, is a lie. The CBC and other coverage of this blatantly lies to the people with pretenses of racism and violence from the protestors and a hiding of the illegal brutality used against them.
Without an objective press, peaceful protest is worse than useless. Speech, of any kind, may be meaningless. The only thing which will count will be action, and that means action designed to accomplish something, not get reports in the press.

Trying to negate guilt of another by equating it to crimes here is irrelevant. We have our own problem to deal with IN ADDITION, but as I noted, even the grotesquely corrupted federal “justice” system currently imprisoning harmless citizens without Constitutionally mandated bail couldn’t get away with merely calling them “protestors”. They needed to escalate that to “insurrectionists” and “seditionists”, both of which will be struck down in temperate courts, but not when adjudicated by the likes of Amit Mehta, a child of the incredibly corrupt Indian nation, and not anyone who has any respect for our history or founding.
Both my parents were descended from founding stock, and I have many ancestors who directly took part in the Revolution. Faced with my own people as my judge, I know they would respect all of what has gone before. The judges we have now are simply alien to us. Thus we have gotten the despicable bail decisions from politicized operatives who have a grudge against the Americans. As immigration is my central issue, this is one reason why: we never agreed to be arrested and judged by foreigners. We needed none of them, they begged to be allowed to live among us, and when we relented, they laughed and turned on us...which was always their plan.
Simply because we have our own problems doesn’t mean we have to accommodate Canada’s descent into Totalitarianism.
