It is so bizarre that this is going on. We aren’t going to do anything to stop them, so why waste Gov time & money on it? Sanctions are not a serious threat.

Likely more of a threat to Europe than the intended target, Russia. Sanctions will have a ripple effect on the world economy so it makes no sense to do it.
