During a portion of an interview with MSNBC released on Friday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) stated that the San Francisco school board recall results weren’t a surprise because the recalled board members weren’t focused on what they needed to be, but that “we can overread this from a national prism.” And “one should be cautious, in terms of overreading.”

Liberals have no qualms about throwing each other under the bus. Their loyalty runs no deeper than their beliefs.
Turns out the easiest seats to take over might just be the easiest seats to take back. The elitist Dems appear not to realize that just because they claim to be populist doesn’t make it so.
The results were strikingly obvious: San Franciscans don’t want their schools renamed - or closed for long periods of time.
Good to see push back in such a lefty town as SF.
Newsom is the one that is misreading the vote.
What he means is the vote can still be effective in local, fair elections but don’t assume you can defeat Greasy Gavin’s voter fraud machine at the state level.
Partisan Media Shills and Stooges alert.
Newsome has to wonder now whether he is woke enough, or maybe too woke?
I’m surprised the recall went through at all. All that vote fraud in California makes me wonder about every election.
Many reasons not to go to SF or California.

Translation of Newsom’s comment. Newsom is channeling his inner Hussein during the bombing before the fall of Iraq.
“Nothing to see here, we have everything under control.”
He is probably correct. The compulsion to vote Democrat out here in California is virtually Unbreakable. As disgusted as these folks are with these three candidates, they are only going to be seen as three bad apples in an otherwise sparkling bunch of clear and forward-thinking champions.
Newsome himself is the perfect counterexample. As rotten and as egregious as his actions have been, he handily survived his recall.
Actually, he is right. This is not some conservative pushback in San Francisco, but a takeback of their schools from psychos pushing an agenda.
His Bells Palsy has cleared up nicely after his “booster”. The steroids have left him with a bit of a “moon-face”.
Klaus should be proud of his WEF class of 2015 graduate.
And seriously injuring or maybe killing them?
This wasn't about renaming the schools; the Asian community wouldn't care about that.
It was about ending the "gifted school" program and turning the best high schools into lottery admissions instead of high test scores in the name of "equity," because the "wrong" kids were the ones getting in.
That's what got the Asian community in an uproar.

“During her tenure, Collins received national attention[8][9][10] for changing the merit-based admission policy at Lowell High School — arguing that merit-based admission is racist — and accusations of engaging in racism herself for a series of tweets she wrote in 2016 targeting Asian Americans.[11][12] The statements led to Collins being stripped of her title as vice president of the Board on March 25, 2021.[13] In response she filed an $87-million lawsuit against the San Francisco Unified School District and San Francisco Board of Education on March 31, 2021, which was subsequently dismissed by a federal judge due to lack of merit.[14]
Collins also attracted attention for her role in other controversial decisions made by the board,[15] including the attempted destruction of the Life of Washington mural,[16] the attempted renaming of 44 schools,[17] and the refusal to hire a consultant to reopen the schools during the COVID-19 pandemic.[18] These actions resulted in successful lawsuits by Alumni groups, and a lawsuit by the city itself.[19] “
Yes and many Asians registered to vote just for the school board recall. Normally they don’t vote much.
