Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) showed a five-point lead over Democrat Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke in a hypothetical head-to-head gubernatorial poll from Climate Nexus.

The poll found that 45 percent of the registered Texas voters surveyed said they would vote for Abbott, five percent more than would vote for the Democrat.

Precisely what I was thinking. If this poll is correct and Abbott has such a slim lead in this environment, then probably all the talk about demographics is correct. I’d like to see the cross tabs across ethnic and age groups.

Texas is in trouble if that poll is anywhere close to accuracy. That should be 20 points. Beto is a joke, not qualified to be much of anything.

” Huge amounts of Indians (dots), hispanics and white calitrash are rapidly taking the state over.”

They come here, they then bring their entire village here to live with them with the help of our government. They then vote Marxist.

We need to stop legal immigration for 30 years, kick out the visa overstays, restrict visas and hunt down and deport illegals. But we don’t have the spine.

No it does not. This poll is assuming that Abbott will make it past the Primary contest. I have my doubt.s

Nonsense. In fact, the biggest swings to the GOP were in south Texas in the heaviest Hispanic counties.

It’s upscale woke urban and suburban whites that shifted against the GOP all around the country. Some of that has shifted back (see Virginia 2021) but Like in Texas, some of the biggest shifts toward the GOP in Virginia 2021 were also the heaviest Hispanic precincts.

Texas is currently in zero danger of shifting blue (or even purple) and this push poll is laughable.

Want to bet on that? West will lose by double digits.

They are a liberal “climate change” organization. They aren’t even a polling firm.

Even with them cooking the books, they still can’t get Beto closer than 5 points.

Quinnipiac, (which is a left leaning polling firm) has Abbott up by 15.

“Registered” voters, not “likely” voters. Common Democrat trick.

I haven’t seen any activity from West in my area of central Texas, 60 miles south of Dallas.
Plenty from Huffines, though. I just don’t know if Huffines can beat PendejO’Rourke.

I wonder if THAT IS WHY Beto is 5 points off. Isn’t West leading?

I used to like Albott but he only pays lip service to stopping the illegal army coming in...

In a related article, a separate poll showed an armadillo holding a 50% lead over Bobby.

Abbott is 45 points ahead of West. West is barely ahead of a no-name State Senator.

I wish you luck, but it doesn’t necessarily mean Texas will go Blue, either.

Many people leaving California are going because politics and taxes drove them out.

Even for a person not so politically inclined, there’s something liberating about experiencing FREEDOM. Current and longtime dwelling Texans need to work on these people.

Indians and Hispanics are actually getting MORE conservative, the longer they’re in country.

I’m not saying they’re not going to vote Blue, but it’s not a given. Remember, for some, Californians especially, they been propagandized to all their lives. Time to cult deprogram or detoxify them.

20 years ago I was very worried about Florida. In 2000, look how close they came to elected Algore. They had plenty of democrats, too. Back then, both Florida Senators, Bill Graham and Bill Nelson, were democrats.

Even though Florida would wind up voting for Obama, they did not abandon Trump in 2016 or 2020. Even with all those Yankees and Puerto Ricans moving to FLA over the past 20 years, they’ve gotten Redder.

This can also happen in Texas.

“WEST4TEXAS”

West should have moved to Oklahoma or some other safe conservative state. He’s a friggen DREAM CANDIDATE for Beto here in Texas.
