Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) showed a five-point lead over Democrat Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke in a hypothetical head-to-head gubernatorial poll from Climate Nexus.

The poll found that 45 percent of the registered Texas voters surveyed said they would vote for Abbott, five percent more than would vote for the Democrat.

Climate Nexus is relatively biased. If they say Abbott has a 5 percentage point lead, Abbot has a lead of 10 to 15 points. But, this is good. Hopefully, the Democrats will dump $50 million into Texas, and that much less in Wisconsin and other competitive states.

Plano has the 6th largest percentage of Chinese in the country of cities over 250,000. Lots of Indians, Syrians, Vietnamese and Koreans, as well. (The McDonalds in the local Walmart just closed and was replaced by a “Mediterranean” style fast food joint.)

Unfortunately Texans are so pissed off with the immigration and the lack of Abbotts involvement in using all the tools available to him as a governor. He is falling like a rock! So this poll does sound right. Abbott is in a world of hurt right now specially with Allen West biting at his heels. It’s going to be a very very close election. Brace yourselves people. If Robert wins I can honestly guarantee you Texas will flip blue! Texas also has its corrupt officials behind the election tables. Once he gets in Texas will become another California...we are hanging by a thread. Don’t let anyone fool you I am in the belly of the beast and I travel across Texas and I can tell you Robert is very popular here in the blue cities. They might end up dragging him over the finish line and with the immigration crap I can guarantee you the rats are very busy registering the invaders. And if you think you need ID and all that to vote in blue cities you are greatly mistaken! We have massive corruption here in Texas too.

Are you kidding me? Texas voters need to check voter registration of people who moved there in the last few years and if they registered democrat kick them out.

Lots of back and forth on whether TX will go blue soon. If comes within 5 on the election, that’ll be a major sign that it’s coming.

Maybe. But remember Florida in 2000. It looked like Florida might turn into a blue state. That didn't happen. But if Liberals continue to move to Austin, then yes, it will become the next Colorado or Virginia, a formerly red state that is now permanently blue.

For anyone interested, click on the Breitbart link and you’ll see that “Climate Nexus” is EXACTLY who their name implies, as they have this on the first page at the link:

https://climatenexus.org/media/pdf/Texas-Poll-Toplines.pdf

Next read through the polls, it is only AFTER the very end of reminding people of the blackouts over a year ago that they bother to ask who they want for governor. Given that, I’m surprised Beto wasn’t up 20 points. CLEARLY a Push Poll, and Breitbart shouldn’t be giving it any credibility.

Only 5%. Time to start listening to AOC instead of laughing it off. The rot began well before AOC OR Abbott, Texas has been targeted for decades but I hate to tell you Abbott has only put gasoline on the fire. It was Abbott who ran adds in California inviting them to Texas. Paid for by Texas tax dollars I might add. They are flipping the big cities... for now.

You are 100% correct. Ex-far GOP led suburbs had tons of Trump signs/flags stolen all over last time. It’s been kind of a shock transition over the past 5 years. I wouldn’t be all that surprise if that frances bastard gets within 1-2 or even wins.

It’s a lot closer than most would even want to contemplate on a site like this.

“This is a push poll, from a clown organization, with absolutely no attempt to ascertain the leanings of the undecided and with a cooked partisan gap. EVEN THEN, Abbot is leading by 5.”

Correct, see my Post 29.

Last time with Beto versus Cruz some said ignore it. But it looks like many hundreds of thousands of illegals a year plus ex-Californians are in Texas watching TV and smoking dope, on taxpayers’ welfare dime.

Newcomers do not remember the Alamo-—they never heard of it. A Latino American I used to work with complained frequently about the misguided patriotism of Texans he thought were neo Nazis for celebrating those defenders.

“Unfortunately Texans are so pissed off with the immigration and the lack of Abbotts involvement in using all the tools available to him as a governor. He is falling like a rock!”

It’s a Push Poll - they all but ask:

“Given Abbott’s sole responsibility for the 2021 blackouts, who will you vote for in the 2022 election? Beto or Abbott?

People outside Texas don’t understand the extreme demographic shift happening here.

It’s happening everywhere. TX, GA, FL, NC/SC, etc. A lot of GOP voters (sunshine pumpers, shut-ins, etc.) are in denial about the situation. We are in the midst of a historic wave of migration that will change this country forever.

Exactly. We did not see Abbott put the full force of the governorship position in his favor instead he coward like the Republicans in DC and hid under the table over this immigration crap! Abbott thought inviting the California companies here was a godsend he didn’t contemplate the ramifications of bringing liberal companies here with their liberal ideas and their liberal people. Come election eve he is going to be hit smack in the face with his stupidity ....Stupid stupid stupid!

I generally like Breitbart, but sometimes Breitbart often pushes “outrage porn” and doom headlines to the lower information class.

Too many conservative organizations have adopted part of the Grifter Pundit model which caters to the dumbs on social media trying to general clicks.
