I think people like Bill Gates are way beyond worrying about profits. Rather I believe they are consumed by the need for more power and influence over the lives of others.

It is a ten minute video, entertaining in its presentation of a serious subject, and IMO, well worth the time.

In summary, he postulates the concept that in the past, much of the time Government and Big Business have largely been in a struggle with each other (obviously not all the time) and the media would be a "referee" that would inform people. It changed at some point, and we are seeing the full power of it now.
