Elon Musk’s The Boring Company is moving ahead with plans to build underground tunnels for cars in a bid to relieve clogged roads and highways in Miami and Texas.

Musk’s firm has submitted a plan for a 6.2-mile underground transit system in South Florida where commuters would take Tesla vehicles that would carry them between seven stations.

The North Miami Beach Loop includes stops along State Road 826 between Golden Glades Transit Center and Sunny Isles Beach at Newport Pier, according to Business Insider. The goal is for the system to carry between 7,500 and 15,000 passengers per hour, according to company estimates.

Um, except Musk paid a massive 11 billion in taxes last year alone which more than doubled all of that.
Not to mention GM received a massive $50 billion in a “rescue package” in the same 2008 out of which the government was forced to write off a stunning $10 Billion!
Tesla paid back every penny in federal loans they got, plus interest. Plus they paid it back early.

Does Musk think he can do a better job than God?

You must be joking about Elon Musk’s taxes. He earned X billions and paid x billions in taxes. You know this is completely separate from subsides his ventures have gotten from the Feds, NY, California and so on. He got some kind of great deal on his Tesla charging stations in California. You can google the details but it was a very cute and remunerative scam.

What’s up Joe? Are you invested in Musk Inc.? You own a Tesla or one of his space rockets? Have you signed up for a million dollar outer space ride?

Again when did he ever say that?
You are the one making it up to suit your anti Musk agenda.
Next?

Musk is not impressive.

A profoundly ignorant statement.

You must be joking about Elon Musk's taxes

Of course not.

He earned
earned X billions and paid x billions in taxes.

Just to reiterate, Musk paid a stunning $11 billion in taxes last year alone, by far the biggest taxes paid by any individual in US history in any one year. That counts when you are mouthing off about Tesla EV subsides which GM also got, without any from GM ever getting within a million miles of paying $11 Billion in any one year.

You know this is completely separate from subsides his ventures have gotten from the Feds, NY, California and so on.

Except them EV subsidies were available to every American car maker including GM, and the GM CEO hasn't come close to paying a staggering $11 Billion in ANY year. Ever!
Musk did.

Are you invested in Musk Inc.? You own a Tesla or one of his space rockets? Have you signed up for a million dollar outer space ride?

To my regret I never invested in Tesla like I should have.

I have a brainwashed cuz who hit the Lithium jackpot last spring and summer by buying $500000 worth into lithium stocks. Lithium being the main ingredient for Tesla and other car batteries.

He is so brainwashed, he and wife own a Tesla and a Chevy Volt or Bolt. They installed a charging station in the garage. So you Joe got nothing on them. Not even an upcoming Musk rocket ride to nowhere or to his Nevada subsidized battery factory.

The tunnel is an amusement ride. Not an efficient people mover.

I switched over to Arvin Ash, Curious Droid, Scott Manley, etc. Science doesn’t have to be so desperately dull.

It was a question, not an assertion.

Again—does Musk think he can do a better job than God?

I had assumed you knew a little about Musk.

Your question was countered by another question.
For the record, Musk has never said or indicated he can do better than God on anything. You just made it up.
Perhaps you should watch Musk's recent interview with the Babylon Bee.

When I say Elon Musk is not at all impressive and you disagree, surely it’s because we use different measures for impressiveness.

For you it seems impressiveness corresponds with an ability to manipulate matter and energy to produce something that appears to be good.

For me, impressiveness has to do with moral righteousness.

Here’s my strongest position on this man, and I challenge you to refute it:

If Elon Musk is a bad actor, then we do not want him manipulating matter and energy.

You still haven’t made any real point.
You claim “impressiveness has to do with moral righteousness”?
So what?
You have yet to prove Musk is not a moral guy, not to mention being an impressive person has nothing to do with morality.
Maybe you’d better consult a dictionary. Or even better a psychiatrist.

I’m not sure why you’re not thinking very clearly.

I don’t have to prove anything about Elon Musk.

If you can’t support the emotional burden you experience in reading my statement that he’s not impressive, then you shouldn’t attempt to engage in a discussion like this one.

But if you keep pushing, maybe during the course of our exchange we’ll find out things about Musk that are even worse than we thought.

Not if you water proof the tunnels. I am sure you would need a good seal on Mars too.
