Heck I took a cab in Philadelphia from the train station to the Omni Hotel one time. Never used a cab before. You can bet I got plenty nervous when the driver left the city and began driving on the thruway.
That would have definitely have freaked me out as well.
Oh I took a Bus once to see the small city I had just moved to. The driver kept letting people out until I was the only passenger left. It was taking so long even though we were in the city. I was later told the driver likely enjoyed me sitting behind his seat...that it’s known among drivers to do this for newbies...and if you’re reasonably attractive and well dressed all the more.... And they can spot those who aren’t accustomed to using the bus.
