A buddy of mine has a friend that is an Uber driver. He told me his neighbor came home one night with four bullet holes in the car. Apparently he picked up a passenger that had some enemies.
Yikes! I do DoorDash. I’m thinking of quitting that. They’re asking drivers to do the cash option. No way. I’m never exactly sure where I’m going, and there are too many rundown rentals sprouting all over, now. Planning to move to a small town next year in Mississippi.

I too never consciously considered or saw race whatsoever, for my entire life, and living where white folks are in the minority. It wasn’t until Obama blew the lid off of that Pandora’s Box. Now everything seems like it’s race,race,race. Even here. They are throwing gas on the fire
Heck I took a cab in Philadelphia from the train station to the Omni Hotel one time. Never used a cab before. You can bet I got plenty nervous when the driver left the city and began driving on the thruway.
That would have definitely have freaked me out as well.

Oh I took a Bus once to see the small city I had just moved to. The driver kept letting people out until I was the only passenger left. It was taking so long even though we were in the city. I was later told the driver likely enjoyed me sitting behind his seat...that it’s known among drivers to do this for newbies...and if you’re reasonably attractive and well dressed all the more.... And they can spot those who aren’t accustomed to using the bus.
It's better to be safe than sorry. It is well known that many cab drivers will pass right by them instead of stopping. To the cabby, it's a game of Russian roulette.

His girlfriend was the one who ordered the uber drive, and they found a text where she told him something like, “if you get caught, I’ll deny it”, or something like that. Nothing will probably happen to her, either.
