Joe Biden says he has reason to believe Russia plans to imminently attack Ukraine and capture its capital Kyiv.
The US President said he is convinced Vladimir Putin has decided to invade Ukraine in the coming days.
UK Government officials are also reportedly certain Putin - who will watch nuclear missile tests tomorrow - will order Kremlin forces to attack.
It comes after Russia's defence ministry insisted that some of their troops had pulled back from the Ukrainian border.
However, the US and UK claimed Russia had actually boosted its forces with extra troops.
In a televised speech today, Biden said: "We have reason to believe the Russian forces are planning to and intend to attack Ukraine in the coming week, in the coming days.

You are correct BUT you are thinking from the west NATO view. Look at it from Moscow. Germany is in NATO and they attacked Russia/USSR twice in the 20th century. The US and USSR fought proxy wars since ww2 and the US possibly aided in the Maidan Revolution in Ukraine in 2014.

NATO (um...us) bombed Belgrade, a Slavic city and every Russian remembers that.
1999 was just 8 years after the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the Slavs were treated to their people being killed so that Muslims in Albania could hold their territory.
The disgust they feel for that humiliation is one of the things that brought Putin to power. “Never again” as they say.
Clinton understood nothing of the history of the Balkans and the Ottoman empire. His knee jerk reaction was unfortunately a way to both respond to Republican attacks and to protect said Albanian muslims.
The Russians are not laboring under any illusions. NATO exists to contain Russia and they know it. That it includes blowing up Slavic countries aligned with Russia is yet another source of ethnic anger.
My prediction is 3 small nukes will be used at some point in the near future in this coming conflict. Millions will die as a result of those bombs. Martial law will be world wide. The great reset has begun. 1/2 of the worlds population will perish. May God be with us all.
