He should speak plainly. Enough word salad. If we can’t have frank discussions progress can’t be made.
The black community in metro Atlanta at least has much need of introspection. There’s too much tolerance for bad behavior within the community, the baby daddy culture must reckoned with. The corrupt political sphere has infantilized black Americans both enabling the self defeating behaviors and providing excuses not to grow and take ownership of their lives and communities. Can’t blame businesses for leaving areas that tolerate and breed unsustainably high theft and when measures are taken against activity the cry is racial injustice.
The injustice is self harm. It took me a long time to understand what it meant to be stuck on a mental plantation but I see it now. It’s time for the exploitation to end and for the black community to grow up not pull down others. It’s amazed me meeting so many black women with contempt for the laziness, immaturity and disloyalty among black men and yet their politics don’t match their personal values. I also know black men who are personally offended by those in their community who play games rather than grow themselves into educated and productive men. There’s cultural value placed on ones ability to scam others more than there is in educational achievement and personal growth.
Some of the same systemic issues are in the gay community with its self-delusion of inclusion while practicing extreme intolerance and cancel culture.
These problems are part of the human condition and have been thousands of years. We see parables, poems and stories from cultures thriving and long dead. It’s the price of freedom and ignorance both. If we’re lucky self awareness leads us on a personal journey to a better way but too many are stuck on their mental plantations and afraid to grow
Don Lemon has never had anything of worth to say he’s just an old time race baiter salesman.
