Interim Conservative leader Candice Bergen and Conservative MPs speak with reporters on Parliament Hill as the federal party holds its weekly caucus meeting. They are asked about the government's decision to invoke the Emergencies Act in an effort to address ongoing convoy blockades that have affected border crossings and cities across the country. This is the first time the Act has been invoked since it replaced the War Measures Act in 1988.

Conservative Leader? This must be a different Candace Bergen than the former actress. She is the polar opposite of a conservative leader.
This little boy Justin seems to really want an emergency and he will bloody get one if he keeps up this erasure of freedom. What a tyrant. He is provoking violence by his extreme measures.
The “Conservatives” went along with the COVID mandates now they turn and oppose mandates and emergency measures when they see the people in the streets to oppose Trudeau.
Finger in the wind hypocrisy.
YES, 2 VERY, VERY DIFFERENT WOMEN!
Didn’t she tell the Truckers to STOP IT and go home a few days ago ?
NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT!

“The truckers’ protest began in Alberta, a long-time bastion for Canadian conservatives and one of four provinces, along with Manitoba, Quebec and Saskatchewan, whose premiers have opposed the prime minister’s invocation of emergency powers this week.
The demonstrators in Ottawa — and at protests and blockades elsewhere in Canada — have decried vaccine mandates for truckers and other COVID-19 precautions, and also denounced the overall performance of Trudeau’s Liberal Party government.
Nik Nanos, a pollster whose Ottawa office affords him a close-up view, doubts that the protesters — including many families with young children — will disperse any time soon.
“In my view, this is the equivalent of an Occupy Wall Street movement that will be at the front door of the House of Commons for a long time,” he said. “These truckers want to be in the face of politicians every day until these restrictions are lifted.”

Yea they should have stuck with the mandates, ignored the truckers and not listened to the protests so numbskulls can't accuse them of "finger in the wind" hypocrisy.
I like that lady. But saving Trudeau’s skin will be difficult. Because Trudeau’s skin is so skimpy.
Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe is supports an end to vaccination requirements.
In a statement posted to Twitter, Moe says the current federal border policy for truckers makes no sense:
”An unvaccinated trucker does not pose any greater risk of transmission than a vaccinated trucker,” Moe wrote.
He goes on to say that he believes the policy poses a risk to the economy and Saskatchewan’s supply chain that will increase the cost of living.
Also, he says he supports an end to “the cross-border ban on unvaccinated truckers.”
.
Conservative Party of Canada leader Erin O’Toole tweeted: “I support their right to be heard, and I call on Justin Trudeau to meet with these hard-working Canadians to hear their concerns. Please protest safely this weekend”, he wrote.
The prime minister is in isolation somewhere today in the Capital Region — CBC reported the family has been relocated from Rideau Cottage
She told them today to move their trucks also.
My post #10 was sarcasm.
Yes, she did.
"Conservative Party interim leader Candice Bergen demanded an end to trucker-led “Freedom Convoy” protests blockading international borders on Thursday, urging anti-mandate demonstrations to end."

Their unwillingness to oppose the mandates in the first place shows their true mettle.
So what?
Don’t vote for Canadian conservatives anymore.
There is a Peoples Party of Canada that isn’t “Fakeservative” when it comes to COVID.
