2022 Olympics Star Eileen Gu Is Cashing in Big on Chinese Endorsement Money
New York Post ^ | February 16, 2022 | Ryan Glasspiegel

Eileen Gu, the American-born skier who won a gold medal for her mother’s homeland China, reportedly raked in tens of million dollars in Chinese endorsement deals — even before her considerable success at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.

The site Insider cited a report from CBN Data, a Shanghai-based research firm, as saying Gu brought in 200 million Yuan (or over $31 million) in 2021 — before her gold medal run.

Yicai Global, an outlet in Shanghai, counted 23 endorsement deals for Gu heading into the Olympics, including Estee Lauder cosmetics, Cadillac, Louis Vuitton and Tiffany. According to various outlets, her Chinese endorsers include Anta sportswear, Luckin Coffee, Mengniu Dairy, the e-retailer, JD.Com, China Mobile, the Peoples Insurance Company of China and Bank of China.

Good for her.
She doesn't have to tolerate racist BLM nonsense in China.

$30 million - AND she didn’t have to give up her US Passport.

Rumors are that China, wanting a big propaganda success for their winter games, has offered other athletes the ability to compete for China, without being a Chinese citizen as their law stipulates - as long the athlete says nothing about it (which Gu has done)

Gu is a traitor grifting in and with a fascist regime.
Stanford proudly admitted her. Imagine the same had an ‘American’ athlete competed for Germany in the 1936 Games ....

I have a sneaking suspicion most of the money will be spent in China, where she has close to zero probability of getting murdered in the street by BLM thugs.

Its impossible to know for certain. China would never admit to such a deal, nor would Gu or her representatives. Chinese law states that duel-citizenship is not allowed. But does that matter to the CCP?

Besides, 17 of the 22 players on the Chinese Olympic Hockey team are from North America. They too have simply avoided talking about the citizenship issue.

She’s half white and hot. She also went to an elite private high school and got into Standford. Not too many ghetto thugs at Stanford…

There’s a Chelios offspring on the China team? Hope his dad and granddad aren’t alive to see that.

IOC approves the country of origin. Citizenship not absolutely required. Two year residency works.

You don’t have to be a citizen of the country you represent.

IOC approved her application to represent China.

That's fairly common, isn't it? Wealthy athlete wants to be in Olympics, not good enough to get on his country's team, signs up with some small country and brings enough dough (or sponsorships) to make it happen. There are minimum performance standards to qualify, but it's often possible.

Michelle Malkin: Who Murdered All the Asian Women — and Who's Covering It Up?

I'm a 5-foot-1, 105-pound, 51-year-old woman of Pacific Islander/Asian descent. That's much more personal data than most women are willing to share publicly, but I'm all about being blunt. Let's face it: My gender, ethnic background and small stature make me a perfect target for violent crime in big cities that are soft on criminals — especially repeat offenders who happen to be black.

Black-on-Asian violence is a bloody reality. According to the federal Bureau of Justice Statistics criminal victimization report published in 2019, 182,230 Asians in America were victims of violent crime in 2018. Black offenders were the perpetrators in a whopping 27.5 percent of those cases — the highest of any racial group. Given that black Americans make up only 12 percent of the population, that means black offenders on a per capita basis commit more than five times as many violent attacks on Asians as whites or Hispanics
