Trudeau is like Hillary: the more I learn of him, see him and hear him, the more I dislike him. And just when I think I cannot dislike them more, they do something to prove me wrong.
He discovered there was good money working on a fishing boat in Alaska. Lots of work and nothing to spend money on. When the boat docked, they paid him extra to bunk aboard and guard the ship.
The IRS tracked him down one day with a shore to ship call and he basically said "come and get me." They didn't bother. Eventually, his ex had to give up and get a job as well. His shipmates didn't know enough to give up any information either and were unlikely to do so anyway because they liked his work ethic.

The government should not have the power to freeze the bank accounts of law-abiding protestors, nor the power to block them from receiving lawful gifts.
If the Canadian government goes after law-abiding trucker protestors, the truckers still on the job might park their trucks for quite some time.

In the USA, under COVID, lots of things were done which were illegal.
Freezing bank accounts (seizing) is wrong. But they have the power, tho not the right. This will not be the last time, now that we have been conditioned to accept it as OK.

I had a friend the IRS came after ahrd over like 200k they said he owed.
He made on average 35-400k a year and used standard withholding.
He sat down in the office and when they threatened to start taking his stuff he said (in some fashion) that if they did he would simply quit working a regular job in his field and they would lose the 75-100k a year they were withholding as well
They actually settled for like 5K and let him on his way.
