As when Muslims commit terrorist acts and are caught, they blame “mental illness” as their excuse; this Muslim Federation Event is for some reason hosting mentally ill speakers.
Seriously, mentally ill people are tragic. But in no way does that mean that anyone other than psychiatrists should pay any attention to their ramblings. Theirs are not reasoned or rational statements, and those in agreement should also be challenged on their mental fitness.
Not all people who suffer from mental illness are violent or capable of hurting anyone.
Spend some time working around them and you’ll see that.
I have. It can be rewarding and exasperating at the same time but you have to have patience and a lot of it.
In the end though it is rewarding to be able to help someone who is in say a lesser position than one’s self.
