“ Didn’t look very ‘diverse’, did it?”
What do you mean? They had the token whit guy, M&M with his pants falling off. I particularly liked the guys dressed in prison clothes. It was such a great representation of black culture.
well I didn’t watch the garbage yesterday so it’s hard to comment.
So... I just pulled up a youtube video of the halftime show and skipped through it quickly to confirm what I already knew.
TOTAL TRASH
Why are these people famous? NONE of them can sing even a tiny bit!
And what were those horrible little houses ? worst staging ever!
I didn’t watch any of the Thug Bowl and never will, Why are these thugs considered “legendary” is it because of the Poison They have been selling to black yutes for years?
Minus Eminem, I liked it. It’s LA and that was the LA rap scene from the 80’s on. It was good for the locals. Not as good as some shows, but definitely better than many.
I had the foresight not to watch the halftime show or the over the top pregame. I caught a glimpse of the rock for about 5 seconds before I switched it, again. Was only interested in the game. I dislike that the players have to put up with the sad spectacle that is the Superbowl. The NFL needs new leadership in a bad way.
A wag the dog homage to anarcho-primitivism and thug culture.
Really the NFL has to move the superbowl out of February. Black history month has ruined it. This was the first time I’ve seen an NFL halftime performance since 1988, and this was crap.
Didn’t the star of this year’s show rape the makeup artist at the last superbowl they were booked?
People from all over the world tune in and think blacks “makeup” 75 percent of the US Population.
“ An epic show would be Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Prince or other artists of that caliber. Not these folks.”
If you got Michael or Prince to perform, that would be epic. Never seen a dead guy perform before. Kidding aside. Michael Jackson’s halftime show was awesome.
Football? What’s that? My lack watching the football entertainment industry in 2021 - 2022 included college level too. Football is not a sport anymore. It is a one-sided political platform with advertisements that are also politically platformed, only to be interrupted by moving images of people running with, throwing or kicking a ball.
In fact, come to think of it, I did not watch any sports on television. It is quite freeing.
hip-hop culture = subhuman filth
Nursery rhymes by geriatric rappers, the chick in white said it all “No more”, should have stopped then.
With you...it’s been years and years for me, professional sports is garbage, especially the NFL and totally unwatchable the NBA.
I think it’s hard to pull off a show on that level, regardless of the performers. In that huge, loud environment it all just falls flat, the same as any big stadium show.
“I can’t believe people watch this crap.”
I can. And some are addicted to it too, even “conservatives” and keyboard generals. People like living in fantasy land, like their politicians to lie to them, and believe abnormal human behaviors are a choice and normal. The list goes on.
Worst one I’ve ever seen. By far.
The Super Bowl was yesterday? Who was playing/played?
Lots of hype, a little weak on delivery. I thought Dre was okay, Eminem was okay, Snoop sounded good, Fifty looked and sounded below par, I am not that familiar with Kendrick Lamar, so I guess he was okay, Mary J. Blige was awful. It was a nostalgia show for millennials. They aren’t that young anymore. Their rap heroes are crowding or over 50.
Credit where due: Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars have delivered good halftime shows in recent memory. Maroon Five performed well, they just weren’t a good fit.
Sorry..wasn’t there, wasn’t watching. Since the NFL started kneeling at the National Anthem it’s been dead to me.
Rap is gutless. Even applying all of the studio techniques to a recording Rap as no dynamics, no uplift or carrying the listener. It’s monotonic and can’t create tension and release. I love all kinds of music but Rap is dull, boring.
Funny thing about the performance, I heard no stadium echo on the music or lead vox even though, well, they were in a stadium. When the announcer addressed the crowd I heard it. When the players spoke to the crowd after the game I heard it. But the Rap sounded echoless. I wonder how they managed this?
but they still made their money off of you ...
