I have a very conservative friend (California conservative) who said a derivative of that to me during a conversation this past weekend. It was during a discussion because I refuse to get the gene therapy and he is on booster 37 or whatever. We have been friends since second grade and we are both in our mid sixties, but I have never come closer to ending that friendship than after that comment. But that is what this is all about, dividing people.

There's been a LOT of infighting on the Gonzaga Basketball Board. The most strident voices are those in Washington, where Gonzaga is located. I've pretty much stayed away from those discussions, because I haven't been vaxxed, by choice.

About 5-6 weeks ago, I contracted Covid for the second time. I'll be 68 in a few months, and have had Type 2 diabetes for 6-7 years. I lost 30 pounds in a week, it was kicking my butt. My doctor prescribed a regimen of Ivermectin, HCQ, and a couple other drugs. I was back at work the following week.

My BIL and my sister all got jabbed, with no apparent side effects. Our discussions on the subject stayed cordial, it's been my attitude that the decision to vaxx or not is a personal decision to be respected.

But man, some of my fellow alums have gone off the deep end. Last December (2020), Gonzaga played Virginia in Fort Worth. I was able to get some great pictures of my then 10 YO grandson with several players. The masks were pulled down just long enough to take the picture.

The Board reaction was incredible, with several accusing me of creating a super spreader event.
