If I remember that, does that mean I am OLD?

Don’t know why, but I always link it together with “Classical Gas”.

Impossible. I graduated from college with a political science degree in 1968 and I'm not old. I think.

Maybe because both songs came out in the same year, and because both were all over the radio.

I was ten years old and “Classical Gas” takes me right back to summer at the pool.

We’re not old, we’re “seasoned”. 😎

As I remember this was sung by Claudine Longet. She was married to Andy Williams for several years. She was charged with murdering skier Spider Sabich in Aspen, CO and was found not guilty. The trial was held in Aspen and it was her celebrity status that influenced the jury to let her walk.

And of course Michael O'Donoghue wrote one of his more tasteless skits for SNL, "The Claudine Longet Invitational Ski Tournament".

Another of my favorite instrumentals from that time would be the Theme from Midnight Cowboy.
I recall it being performed by many different artists, including Arthur Ferrante & Louis Teicher.
Piano and Harpscicord.

I liked that tune as well. However, I never saw the movie and probably never will. I understand that it's about midnight but it's not about a cowboy.
