For many asylum-seekers, flying to Mexico is ticket to US

SOMERTON, Ariz. (AP) — Seated on a metal folding chair in the front row among dozens of asylum-seekers awaiting COVID tests in Arizona, Gloria Estela Vallora reaped the benefits of her Colombian passport.

She and eight family members, ranging in age from 4 to 63, flew to Cancun for two nights in the Mexican beach resort town, caught another flight to Mexico’s border with the U.S., walked 20 minutes to U.S. agents and spent a night in custody. Within hours, they would be with a friend in Utah.

For Colombians and other nationalities that don’t need a visa, flying to Mexico can be a ticket to seeking asylum in the United States. Once arriving at a Mexican border city, they can walk across the border in broad daylight and surrender to U.S. agents. In doing so, they avoid the dangers of traversing Mexico and other countries over land and circumvent sweeping U.S. asylum restrictions.

Karla Macaveo, 28, arrived in Mexico City from Venezuela. She flew to Mexicali, took a taxi to the Yuma border crossing and planned to fly to Delaware. It couldn’t compare to having to travel over land.

“This was so much easier,” she said with a smile, as she waited to board one of four charter buses going to the Phoenix airport that day.

Too bad that the border walk remains largely incomplete. The border should have also been militarized.

“Within hours, they would be with a friend in Utah”

Lovely people. Some reason they couldn’t simply fly here on a visa? Too hard to comply with laws?

What this means is that entering illegally is better then entering legally. The illegals are granted longer term stay rights then someone legally entering on a nonimmigrant tourist visa. Realistically they could just overstay that too, but this way they are in the system as “refugees” and undoubtedly will never have to leave. Eight people? A whole family?

We need smirking criminals like this?

I remember Utah when not a word of Spanish was heard outside of the UofU Spanish classes.

Why don;t they get “asylum” in Mexico?

Is the AP just now figuring this out?

Gasp, how awful! What a fate!

Spanish speakers from Spaniard countries having to stay in a Spanish speaking country founded by...Spaniards.

Heavens no, how could you suggest such a thing.

Nope, nosirree, the only place on Earth they can possibly survive is in the land of the Evil White Anglo-Saxons.

No where else is even thinkable.

Or regular Americans. Convert everything to cash and hide it someplace safe, then fly to Mexico, throw away your papers and come across the border like an illegal. You’ll get all the free stuff you can’t get as a US citizen and eventually, if you wish, go back and get your money and do whatever you please.

Yep. The American Experiment is finished. Imploding under the weight of our own liberalism.

And when the ragheads take over, the fags that enabled their rule are not going to like what follows.

And when the ragheads take over,

Why would the ChiComs (very capable at suppressing muslims) allow ragheads to take over their client state of the USA?

Probably wouldn’t work. Mexico takes border crossings by Americans pretty seriously. You’d be arrested and jailed before being deported. Try protesting against their laws and see how that works out.

Sure. Mexico is making tons of money from illegals traveling to the US thanks to Biden’s handlers and George Soros who has long desired to destroy the US.

Asylum-seekers from Columbia? Isn’t asylum for people from war-torn countries? Columbia is not at war—people actually go there on holiday:

A friend's daughter is a neonatal nurse in a hospital near the border in Arizona. She said that almost every day they have Haitian women giving birth in their hospital. They walk across the border when they're about to give birth and the CBP agents take them straight to the hospital. They give birth to their anchor baby and are set.

Last I checked you couldn't walk from Haiti to Mexico so somebody's funding their boat or plane ride.

Notice that among the asylum seekers there is not one European.

Pedo/creepo joe is bringing ragheads into the country by the millions. That’s how they roll, conquest by attrition. The chinks can’t compete.
