I hate it when people re-post their own words, but I’m violating my rules and reposting my own because I think it’s relevant to what you said:

In other words, I don’t think it’s enough just to vote them out, assuming we can even do so since they have effectively gerrymandered so many districts that these will be guaranteed wins for them no matter what.

But the important thing is that no matter what, we must make sure that this never happens again. While it was generally individual governors or even private entities that enacted these policies, the feds gave the orders and also enacted the macro-policies: shutting down international travel, for example, and extending surveillance and imposing intrusive public health policies through federal control of Medicare funding.

We must make sure it NEVER happens again and that the government does not have the power to do this for any reason, no matter what “emergency” they claim. The Constitution and our rights have been suspended since March of 2020, they must be reinstated, and they must never be suspended again.

There I have to disagree with you. More laws are not the answer. All laws are potential enslavement.

So what are the other tools besides more laws? Or are they the only answer?

I believe Crimes Against Humanity like Nuremberg MUST be held so this never happens again. They’ve committed the crimes of murder/manslaughter and people have been and will be harmed for decades to come. Our children are committing suicide and have lost two to three years of education. Small children aren’t socialized because of the masks, and the list goes on.

Do we have enough prison cells and rope for justice to be served?
