Santa Clara County won’t be making any changes to its mask rules for now, despite a decision Monday by the state to loosen its order. During a Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, Public Health Director Dr. Sara Cody said that her office was still reviewing figures before they change any policies. “As you know, we are always seeking to do what we can to be the most protective but also flexible,” said Cody during Tuesday’s meeting in response to a question from Board President Mike Wasserman. “We are looking at our data and where we are in the omicron wave and just going through the process that we usually do and don’t have a decision to share from this point.” In answering Wasserman’s question, Dr. Cody did not offer any benchmarks or parameters the county would have to meet for the mask mandate to be loosened. So far, Sacramento, Marin and Solano Counties have all announced that they will be following the state’s rules. Contra Costa County health officials said at a meeting Tuesday that they were “still evaluating” whether to align with the state in dropping the county’s mask mandate. The county’s health department will likely make a decision by the end of this week after conferring with other Bay Area officials, a deputy health director said at the meeting.

Perhaps a Freedom Convoy should pay them a visit . . .
Well, it will be spring soon, and Sara Cody will turn her attention to spraying Santa Clara County with poison. Then we may need masks.
The question is if they will actually enforce it.
Sara Cody can GTH.
Public Health Director my foot.
Not for the citizen’s health.....maybe for her bank accounts health.
What a power tripping tyrant.
I’m in Contra Costa county and I stopped wearing masks a few weeks ago and no one says a thing. Still, sometimes in Safeway I’m the only unmasked customer.
I live in Santa Clara County. It is a rock solid Dem stronghold and they don’t need to loosen restrictions to win in November. The people here are absolutely scared to death and think the air is filled with poison gas.
They all wear their masks to the restaurants, then happily take it off to eat and drink the next ninety minutes. Then they put it back on to exit the restaurant and walk to their cars. There is ZERO common sense here and absolutely no questioning of authority. People under 35 or so are the absolute worst.
Businesses are scared to death of getting fined and their execs have instructed all their employees to enforce it.
Down here in Mountain View / Los Altos / Palo Alto I am the only one walking around in ANY store without a mask. I get dirty looks, people move away from me, and invariably some clerk will ask me “Do you have a mask?” I always reply “Yes, I do.” Then he or she asks “Can you put it in?”
Masks are:
1) a sign of submission, subversion and subjugation
2) mandated in order to dehumanize
3) virtue signaling devices
4) meant to provide constant reinforcement of fear
5) used to destroy community, friends and family normal communication
6) implemented to create isolation, confusion, anxiety, destroy human connectivity, trust and interactions
7) mandated to exacerbate illness
8) intended to aid in the abandonment of the belief and reliance on our immune systems
9) intended to refute integrous science
10) signal to positions of power that you are willing to give up all of your rights and freedoms based on anything they say, even if it is a BIG FAT LIE!

They do the same stupid sh*T here in L.A.
I moved out of San Jose last year. The only thing I miss is driving along the coast and some of the hiking.
I’m in Arkansas now, and people are normal here.
Just followin’ the “science”, don’tcha know.
We saw two ladies do this exact same thing, earlier tonight.
They even spent at least a half hour talking to another diner, who they’d met, who stopped at their table to gab....standing only 1’ away.
They laughed, chatted, shared pics on their phones, etc., with this stranger. I knew they’d just met, because when Gabby finally left their table, they told her ‘Nice meeting you’.
Then, as soon as these two got up to leave, they strung their silly masks on.
Pure absurdity.
A pair of CNNarens.
I know what you mean about “normal.” We bought a vacation home in North Idaho and people there are very normal. I am back at our Bay Area house for a couple of months and I do enjoy the sunshine, hiking and the coast. My wife stayed in Idaho and never wants to set foot in this looney bin again.
I’m out almost every day hiking my favorite parks and wilderness areas.
A convoy is needed. They need to stop delivering.
The mask mandate and end booster shots never end unfortunately.
I was just thinking that I remember when people from San Francisco thought that San Jose was a cow town. Literally. Santa Clara County was filled with orchards and farms and no one was interested. We thought it was a conservative bastion. I moved there in 1995 from Marin and no one would even visit. Now we find out San Jose is the liberal model for the whole world.
