LOL. I only know because my wife was getting her Master’s at Syracuse, while I worked in Rochester. We were there for 3 of the 4 year run. Best team to ever not win a SuperBowl.
Tannehill signed a $120 million extension ($62 million guaranteed) less than 2 years ago. He's taken Tennessee to consecutive division titles. I think the Titans are set in the quarterback.
Smith has been head coach at the college and NFL level. He took the Bears to a Super Bowl in 2007 and has done a good job of improving a truly pathetic University of Illinois program. He's proven his ability to coach.
He took them to several divisional championships and one Super Bowl. That's an 'abysmal Failure'?
The University of Illinois hired him to "turn around" their failing football program -- only to see Smith make it worse.
The Illini were 5 and 7 last year including wins against Nebraska, #7 ranked Penn State, and #20 ranked Minnesota. That's "making it worse"?
“I think the Titans are set in the quarterback.”
They can have good seasons with Tannehill. They will never win a SuperBowl with Tannehill.
So, if the object is to be respectable, Tannehill will be fine. If the object is to win a SuperBowl, Tannehill is Tannehill.
Winning isn’t everything, it’s the ONLY thing. Getting to the playoffs and Superbowl only count if you WIN.
And YES, Smith made the Illini worse. All LOSING seasons.
Who are you, one of his family?
Hope so! They’ve been fun to watch this year. :)
Yeah, but he was great as Jim Backus' wife on "Gilligan's Island."
I’m a fan since forever and I happened to like him. Had a nice winning record here. Took ‘em to the Super Bowl in his 3rd year...without a quarterback.
“We’re getting off he bus running” Seems you can’t do that today.
Lovie didn’t have much luck against the packers...the unforgiveable sin to old time Bears fans.
