A man was arrested in Santa Fe, New Mexico, after police said he broke into a home where he drank some beer, ate some shrimp and took a bath.
Police said the homeowner found the intruder inside his home on the city's southwest side.
The man told the homeowner he needed a warm place to stay, apologized for breaking in and left $200 on a chair to pay for the window he broke to get inside, police said.
The intruder then left the home, taking his bag with him that the homeowner said contained an AR-style rifle.
The next day, Santa Fe police received a call about a man matching the intruder's description trying to steal a vehicle.
Police said they found the man identified as Teral Christesson and took him into police custody. When asked about the incident the day before, he said he was trapped in a blizzard and was scared he would freeze to death.
Christesson was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary, larceny and criminal damage to property.

$200 dollars is just a down payment on a window today. Even a small one.

Cool as hell place ...
I don’t see a problem here.
Break into my home, and there will be no conversation except for that person’s last gurgle of air thru a sucking chest wound. Or two.
This last summer I read a post in here about a guy who broke into the second story balcony in Seattle, heavily armed, and the homeowner was armed as well. He talked to the guy and let him go. (I know, Seattle…)
As long as we tolerate our rights being stolen by these animals this will continue. Daily.
Trapped in a blizzard?! Was it that cold in Santa Fe?
Well, now he has a place where he won’t freeze to death or starve.

My wife’s family lives there. Her mom did until this past year (she passed).
Her brothers still do.
It’s a cobalt blue place....
I don’t go out much, but wouldn’t a hotel room, and meal cost less than $200?

Hubby and I visited Santa Fe in the ‘90s when he had business in Albuquerqe. Watching the people was fun — snooty, fruity, and artsy. I couldn’t live there. Beautiful country, though.

What kinda leaves were they?
Lou,
The economic decay preceded the moral decay of Detroit and thousands of other cities across the USA. The economic decay was caused by greedy globalist on the right and joined in by the left who took advantage of the situation, the lack of protections regard trade has basically ruined the USA.
