Just the offer gives them publicity, smart move. Also, if he brings even half of his audience it’s a pretty big deal. Puts them in the game at least.

BOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!

And Rumble just reached the top of the mountain.

Rumble better have some legitimate folks on its cyber-security squad. If he takes that deal, they’re going to go after Rumble worse than an entire building of Chinese hackers trying to get into something.

If he wants out just keep talking against the “elites” and they’ll push him out.

Non-compete clauses are a bear. This isn’t going to happen. Good advertising for Rumble though.

He’s no Rush but he plays fair. He needs to get off the apology crap and stick to his guns.

Spotify signed Rogan in order to start making money, since they were losing money on music streaming. Why would they let him go? He is their cash cow, while the musicians are the cause of their losses.

Devin Nunes said that Truth Social (i.e., DLT’s new platform) is in discussions with Rumble. This could get good.

Looks like the APP put an APB out on you!

Unfortunately there are some shut-ins on this forum that have the time and inclination to carefully peruse every single Free Republic thread in order that they can spot a duplicate and then they pounce - it becomes a GOTCHA! moment for them.

It's like a mall cop catching somebody pouring a nips bottle into an Orange Julius at the Food Court. This kind of petty policing just makes their day.

Contract with Spot was 20 mil, so even if he had to give it all back, he’d be good.

Actually, Rogan signed a $100 million multi-year deal with Spotify. Unless the kitchen gets much hotter, Pavlovski will need to come up with more cash...

“He’s no Rush but he plays fair. He needs to get off the apology crap and stick to his guns.”

There will never be another Rush. However, I agree that he is fair - that is exactly what the Left hates so much about him, because he has leaned left in the past...so is seemingly “betraying” them by letting out contrary views and questioning the Leftist orthodoxy. The man is growing, much as John Stoessel did. I’ll take him over just about anyone else right now, and I know that Rush would be backing him and his right to speak out.

As for the apology crap - yeah, that’s worse than worthless. Those opposed to you won’t suddenly start respecting and agreeing with you...on the contrary, they’ll see it as a sign of weakness. His response should have been an attack upon many on the Left for their own racism, starting with a few podcasts on how the Dems are keeping Blacks on a virtual plantation. Don’t play defense; rock the phuckers back on their heels, repeatedly.

"Rogan probably can’t get out of his contract with Spotify without paying a big penalty - they are stuck with him, but he is also stuck with them."

Yes, note that the language around the removal of the episodes all center on "Joe Rogan chose to remove multiple episodes of his popular podcast", so it's obvious both he and Spotify are doing their due diligence not to breach their contract.

But Rumble's offer gives Rogan a leg up from this point onward.

Rogan has the biggest podcast in the world. Him leaving would crush Spotify.

“If he wants out just keep talking against the “elites” and they’ll push him out.”

First, that’s a defeatist attitude. Had the Founding Generation not only stopped speaking out against the elites of England running roughshod over their basic rights, let alone never organized a military opposition to force them out, then we’d be drinking tea at 4:00 everyday and have awful teeth. He should keep up doing what he’s doing.

Second, he should speak out (and have podcasts about) particular people who are corrupt and against policies that not only don’t make sense, but actually harm the people of this country. It’ll be hard to shut him up if that’s the case.

Third, if he does go to Rumble, then they CAN’T shut him up - they have their own servers now, so NO ONE can shut them down.
