I read the below identified article and one thing specifically sticks out like a sore thumb:
A second man connected to the protest, 37-year-old Andre Lacasse, was charged with carrying a weapon to a PUBLIC MEETING on Sunday, police said.

So a demonstration with crimes arresting participants at a later date as hey were no big deal at the time of the occurance, then there is a difference in a riot (insurrection) and a public meeting. So shouldn’t opening fire on the participants of a public meeting in the US killing one be considered an illegal use of force as the person shot was not threatening anyone climbing through a window at a public meeting? Goose/Gander. I guess I don’t understand the difference between a riot and a public meeting in D.c.
