An FBI database of police officers killed in the line of duty shows that more have died since Joe Biden became president than deaths dating back to 1995.
“We believe it’s a combination … of the George Floyd protests — riots, if you will; a general feeling of a preference for less law enforcement; and less prosecution and less policing,” Jason Johnson, president of the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund (LELDF) and a 20-year police veteran, said in a Fox News report.
“Law enforcement officers have essentially been marginalized and demoralized and cast aside and encouraged now to enforce the law,” Johnson said. “And so we’ve seen massive jumps in the homicide rate in cities across America.”
Johnson said rising homicide rates in major U.S. cities have “also resulted in many more officers being assaulted because … a lot of leaders in these cities and leaders in Congress and leaders in the White House have really voiced a lack of respect for law enforcement officers.”

As feeble and incompetent as Biden is, you can’t blame him, it’s liberal city Marxist mayors and DA’s who won’t prosecute gun crimes who are to blame, in every instance.

That statement is erroneous if your posting is accurate..... The last time it was higher than 2020 was the 1930 figure.
Can’t imagine being a cop, working under such humiliation to following orders to keep the job...standing by during blm riots, topplings, burnings, being mask nazis, defund the police nonsense whipped up by politicians as reasonable. Now that whipped up hype getting them killed in higher numbers.

The military is seeing this too, especially next conflict now that so many have been purged. Who’s there to lead but well-degreed Woke that will fail everyone.
The police showed their willingness to go along. Instead of pulling the protective details of Democrat mayors and prosecutors who supported Communist organizations such as Black Lives MatterTM or going out on strike, they instead sent their officers back out to take more abuse.
You, sir, are correct. It is now worse than 1930. But think how bad crime was in 1930 with so much less population.

I must modify my statement. It appears 1930 still holds the record for police MURDERED in line of duty.
The year 1930 held the record of police who died on duty, which was 347. Now 2021 has that record beat.
HOWEVER, officers murdered by all means in 1930 still hit 231. whereas In 2021, the FBI counted 73 officers intentionally killed in the line of duty.
So, 1930 still holds the record for officers murdered.
