Rubot is getting involved because the heat is getting too hot for Mike Pence, so the Deep State has to call out their other whipping boy.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) on Sunday said “vice presidents can't simply decide not to certify an election,” breaking with former President Trump after he suggested that then-Vice President Mike Pence had the ability to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

Rubio is carelessly framing the issue. All the RINOs do that.

Pence was asked by over 100 state legislators to wait so that the legislatures of those states could use their plenary constitutional powers to determine if those slates of electors were valid.

What is the purpose of certification if non-certification isn’t an option?

The thing that best proves the VP doesn’t have such Constitutional power. Is the fact that Al Gore didn’t overturn the Florida electors. One could say, ‘Gore wasn’t smart enough to do it!’. I agree! However he was ambitious enough & corrupt enough to do it. If the cabal of Rat lawyers he had hired to overturn Florida, they were smart enough to advise it if they thought the power existed. They didn’t and therefore he didn’t! To me that pretty much proves the power doesn’t exist.

Correcto. Seems there are far too many “plant” stories going around.

That’s quite alright, Boobio. Sending disputed electoral slates back to the states to work out would not necessarily overturn or decertify an election.

There’s no other reason for a politician to poke the bear at this point unless they think their rice bowl is being threatened.

But Rubio has been pretty good on a lot of issues, and he’s certainly right on this one.

You are dead wrong on both. rubio has been in the business of selling out America all his political life. He supported the Russia Russia Russia BS, he supports illegal immigration and he supports/is RINO. pence had the obligation to reject fraudulent electors per the Constitution. Then it would have been up to the states and HOR to sort it out. rubio is a POS, always has been.

Agreed. I think the key that could have turned it the other was was if state legislatures had sent alternative slate votes. None did.

It’s a topic of discussion because Rubio brought it up.

If they don’t want us to talk about it they shouldn’t talk about it.

It's funny how Republicans who were recently interviewed at the Republican event (where VP Pence spoke) all said basically the same thing, paraphrased: "The election's over, Biden clearly won in a fair election, so we should all just move on."

LOL. That's exactly what all far-left Democrats/RINOs and the entire MSM have been repeatedly saying for the past two years: The election's over (nothing to see here) - it's time for all Americans to "move on."

Far-left Dems/RINOs (and the far-left MSM) are really good at brainwashing American voters 24/7/365. Even Republican voters are cluelessly repeating the same talking points. Rep. Sen. Ted Cruz recently called Trump's January 6 Republican supporters "terrorists." And we could go down the list of many other Republicans mimicking far-left Dem/RINO talking points about the "election" but at this point, we've already heard too much brainwashing language by the Dems/RINOs themselves.

Very successful, extremely popular U.S. President Trump "lost" to "the worst Presidential candidate" in American history (as Trump accurately describes Biden). During his 2020 campaign, Trump even said to his huge rally crowds, If I lose to "the worst candidate" in U.S. Presidential history, I will be really "embarrassed." Senile Sleepy Joe mostly hid in his basement during his entire "campaign" while President Trump vigorously campaigned to large enthusiastic crowds throughout the country. Nevertheless, senile Sleepy Joe "won" the election with the most votes ever - 81 Million votes - making senile Sleepy Joe "the most popular President in U.S. history," by far. (Well, that previous statement is the election storyline the far-left Dems/RINOs desperately want the American people to somehow believe.)

If it is the VP’s job to “certify” the elections …

It isn’t his job to do this. It’s the VP’s job to preside over a joint session of Congress where the certified electoral votes from each state are opened and confirmed.

If there’s only one set of electoral votes submitted by each state (as there was in 2020-21), then the process is little more than a formality.

It has been a busy morning for the RINO’S on the Sunday talk shows.

Here are the threads:

@ChadPergram Barrasso on Fox: I voted to certify the election and I think Mike Pence did his constitutional duty that day. It’s not the Congress that elects the President, it is the American people

Former Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that former President Donald Trump “told the truth by accident,” when he said he wanted then-President-elect Joe Biden’s win “overturned.” Friday former Vice President Mike Pence rebuffed the idea he could have overturned the election by refusing the state electors on January 6, 2021.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) on Sunday said “vice presidents can’t simply decide not to certify an election,” breaking with former President Trump

Then why is congress trying to pass a new law that says the VP can’t?

Because we have jackasses running around who are apparently delusional enough to believe he can. Has Lin Wood lost his license to practice law yet? And where the hell is that “Kraken” we were promised more than a year ago from some other hack lawyer?

If the VP has only one course of action, then why is his certification required or necessary?
