I agree. I only called the other ones “dopes” because it was pointless and ludicrous to send a letter from (for example) six legislators who had no authority to act on behalf of a legislature with dozens of members (or over 200, in the case of Pennsylvania).
If you are implying that the VP can not simply decertify the election that much is true but certainly he can challenge for cause.
They can if they choose to resign BEFORE the Electoral Certificates are presented to the VP. What happens AFTER that resignation can be debated, but- there would be no Constitutional VALIDATION of the President Elect, until a VP was seated in accordance with the U S Constitution. THIS is what Pence SHOULD have done, and he would have been in compliance with the Constitution.
Pence had THIS move to counter any fraud that he suspected had taken place and EVERYONE knows there was MASSIVE fraud.
If Trump had looked for GOOD legal and constitutional representation, they would have advised that to secure a second slate of electors asap. Yet Rudy and Wood, the delusional democrat did nothing but file weak court cases.
Trump needed help from the legislatures and he got little and that was long after the fact and they are now closing election ballot harveting loopholes.
By Jan 6th this thing was a done deal. His mantra and throwing Pence under the bus was weak need and split the party.
If he doesn’t bury this...then he will lose if he runs. It’s a big deal now. Has nothing to do with the the Capitol Hill event.
Biden warned us this would happen and the Trump administration was caught flat footed.
No one.....Rubio owns the Cuban and Latino vote. No one will challenge....
