Lemme see...
...for years, physicians scoffed at Barry Marshall when he said ulcers may be due to bacteria.
...for years, eggs were bad for your heart.
...the FDA pulled the EUA for monoclonal antibodies because of "ineffectiveness against Omicron" as their rationale, but they offered no evidence.
...for the shots in the US, the FDA's minimum threshold was 50% Efficacy. And yet, they haven't been pulled like the antibodies. The 2-dose VE against omicron infection was 30.4% (5.0%-49.0%) at 14-90 days and declined quickly to 15.2% (0.0%-30.7%) at 91-180 days and 0.0% after 180 days. Yet, they haven't been pulled.
...the shots were approved only for PREVENTING the virus; prevention was the basis of granting the EUA...not lessened symptoms, or keeping you out of the hospital or ground.
Perhaps a better question is...why should anyone believe this explanation?
So you don’t believe the explanation?
