I suspect many of the family agree, too - at least those who witnessed everything personally, instead of just through tabloids.
I don’t think Diana was cut out for the job. She appears to have been too young, troubled, had exorbitantly romantic notions of what this kind of marriage would be like, and couldn’t cope with the reality.
Someone who hadn’t had adolescent stars in her eyes - or someone responsibly and wisely guiding her! - could have seen what would happen a mile away.
And when it did, life moved along.
I don’t spare her husband from blame - he and his family should have been smarter too.
But I also don’t know what it’s like to live under all of those very unique constraints.

I comment when I see a country like Red China committing atrocities against innocent people - or when another country does something that is harming my own.
The internal family decisions of an allied monarchy are different, to me.
We’ll deal with what we get. The point is, no matter how much we ‘splash and splatter’ we don’t have any say in what the Brits decide about the succession to their own throne.
