There should be no way the money goes anywhere but to the truckers or back to the donors. Maybe a good lawyer could look into this.
just sue...I would love to see discovery of the interpersonal communications that the company is having. At this point I would look at other fundraisers that they have pulled the same sort of shit with.... diverting funds, they need to be closed permanently and jail time for some depending on what’s discovered from an investigation.
I want my money back. If my money does not go to the truckers as my donation was intended, then my money needs to be returned to me. My money cannot be put anywhere else. The refund should be automatic without any petition on my part.
GoFundMe is stealing money from the people who wanted to support the truckers.
This is theft.

Do a charge back on your card. GFM will then have to refund you and pay a penalty to the bank (That's what I read)
I have been leery of GFMe since its inception. Now, we see pretty much a worst case scenario of why not to use GF Me at all.
How is that legal? It is robbery.
Do a chargeback with your credit card. Do not use the GFM refund form.
They are not keeping the funds they just will not let them be used for their intended use.
The should start cleaning out their office because hence forth they are done as a funding organization.
This would seem to be a criminal act. They have to return the money if it isn’t going to be distributed to those the donors were giving it to.
I’m not doing a charge back. If my money does not go to the truckers as intended; then my money must go back to me. This is a no Brainer. Go Fund Me will be destroyed if they do any different.

Would it cause Go Fund Me problems if they were swamped with $0.01 donations to every cause or were swamped with donation requests to research and set up?
In my post #22, I put in the link I found to request a refund specifically for the Convoy. They are jerks for taking any money not requested this way.
Sounds like someone out there could make a good case that this constitutes mail fraud.

Contact your credit card company and ask them to put the charge in dispute.
GFM will not get the money.
Gofundme also charges 25.00 per donation as their cut. I will never donate with them again
