Not defending Zucker but if being “in a sexual relationship with a colleague” is an offense that warrants being fired, a massive amount of corporate execs, CEOs, managers, and just plain employees would be on unemployment right now.
There’s got to be more to this story.
Collapsing ratings and incoming ownership vowing major changes might be enough.
That’s what I mentioned on another thread. Heck, a big muckety muck messing around with someone at work is pretty tame, at least for the left. Many on our team are practically smitten with Jesse Waters.....but he dumped a wife for a young co-worker at Fox. Left his twin daughters and wife for a younger version. That’s why I never watch him.
It’s not the actual relationship that’s the problem. The issue is that he was in a position of power over her in the business hierarchy. So calling it “consentual” (even if it was) doesn’t cut it legally in the H. R. world.
“in a sexual relationship with a colleague that warrants being fired”
The two secrets are not being caught and being sure those that know about it won’t talk.
to save the deal
There’s no doubt more. So far they’ve just nailed the guys who were playing with the girls. Next round we might see which guys were playing with boys and little boys. There have been numerous pedo raids around the country in recent months-—wait for one in Atlanta. And, yeah, when you figger in security sensitive companies, especially, there is no doubt more pankey and hankey to be dealt with.

Tucker said what I was thinking last night, about this. Zucker didn’t get fired because of the relationship. Everyone knew about it. He got fired because ratings went through the floor. They just couldn’t admit it so they chose this excuse.
There is that old axiom,”don”t dip your pen in the company’s ink”
Intel’s ex CEO, BK was forced out on the same charges.
The board of directors found BK was doing such a unbelievably bad job and he refused to resign.
It was the only way to get rid of him.
Agree...this is like a Clinton/Lewinsky look squirrel diversion.
