Mary Trump is the latest influencer to pull her podcast from Spotify following several days of controversy over the streaming platform’s support of Joe Rogan.
Mary Trump is an author and psychologist, in addition to the niece of former President Donald Trump. Her podcast, called The Mary Trump Show, discusses politics and pop culture.
“I'm removing my podcast from Spotify,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “I know it's not a big deal but hope it will be part of a growing avalanche.”
Trump thanked Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, and Nils Lofgren, who were among the first people to pull their content from Spotify over Joe Rogan, for leading the way.
Joe Rogan has faced criticism over controversial interviews concerning COVID-19 on his podcast.
Performers Graham Nash and India Arie also left Spotify Tuesday.
“Having heard the Covid disinformation spread by Joe Rogan on Spotify, I completely agree with and support my friend, Neil Young,” Nash said in a statement posted Tuesday on his Instagram account.

Anyone who cannot tolerate free speech or finds it disconcerting is not worth being heard and is definitely not an “artist”. Its pathetically amusing and revealing watching this parade of vile censors reacting to Rogan’s comments.
