Brandeau really has a problem. There is no identifiable group that has come out in support of him... not even in the medical community and fact the nurses are against him. So far the premiers haven’t really cracked even though we saw the premier of Saskatchewan call for backing off on mandatory vaccinations at the border for truckers.

What will be the most interesting to watch is what Kenney in Alberta does.... there have been negotiations going on where the issue is whether the blockade can be lifted for one lane at the Coutts border crossing as a sign of ‘good faith’. Premier Ford in Ontario has been mysteriously quiet... Ottawa may be Canada’s capitol but it is in Ontario. The province was already on track to lift some restrictions soon but not much is being said about the truckers.

I see that the federal Conservatives have just ousted O’Toole as their leader after a backbench revolt that called for a leadership vote. I wonder if there might be a few backbencher Liberals who might be wondering about a break from Brandeau....

Last but not least are the truckers who have been amazing to watch.....holding a steady as it goes grip on the wheel and steely eyed gaze down the road. They have repeatedly said that this goes way beyond just vax mandate for drivers crossing the border. I suspect it is those part of the demands from people way smarter than Brandeau that is causing him the most grief. He really is a well reinforced box....
