New Hospitalizations seem to have peaked on 15 Jan, and have dropped 21% since.

Deaths at the National level appear to have peaked on 26 Jan. They have declined slightly (2%) since then.

Vaccination: This report cites a study (https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/71/wr/mm7104e2.htm?s_cid=mm7104e2_w) "that, compared to up-to-date adults, unvaccinated adults had five times the risk of infection and more than 50 times the risk of COVID-19-associated death."
They also included this chart of Hospitalization by vaccination status, for adults Ages 50–64 Years, October–December 2021:
FYI, Here is last Friday’s Weekly Report from CDC on COVID.
At this rate fanning the flames of fear will be finished in late February.
Those who have previously suffered and recovered from previous infection show similar low rates of serious illness.
We’re done in Texas. Was in LA for business today, and people seeemingly don’t want to let go of the masks and the passports and the rest
Sad.

SAFE AND EFFECTIVE
“At this rate fanning the flames of fear will be finished in late February.”
Should be.
The places that took off first with Omicron, like the NE corridor from DC to Boston, are down even further than the average from their peaks. NYC is about 1/10th of their January peak. Basically everywhere in the Country has peaked, and we are heading into the roller coaster dive of the chart this week and next.
I am still quarantining from my own mild case of COVID last week (vaccinated and boosted). The doctor (IAW current CDC 5 day guidance) said that I could end quarantine Saturday, but I am hanging back until 10 days from symptom start (the old guidance), to avoid some friends in their 80’s. I still had a little runny nose, until today, so I did not want to take a chance with them.
What were your symptoms and did your doctor recommend any therapeutics - OTC or prescription?
It has clearly mutated into "The Dem Disease".
Texas new cases peaked on the 17th of January Statewide, and since the 23rd, the drop in new cases has been particularly steep, as compared to most States.
Now down to about half of the peak, of the 7 day moving average. Dropping like a rock.
“What were your symptoms and did your doctor recommend any therapeutics”
My symptoms were mild - sore throat, with the occasional cough or sneeze, a little runny nose. I never had a fever or saw a drop in blood oxygen. My wife started a couple of days before, and was positive on a PCR test. I was negative on an at home test, but had the same symptoms as her, so I stayed home. I self treated with zinc, vitamin D and C, Quercetin, Lactoferrin, Benadryl and melatonin, and drank a liter of tonic water per day.
I did not report to the doctor until I tested positive on a PCR test, at the end of the current (5 day) guidance from CDC, after symptom onset. He just said that I was cleared to end isolation. I am going to stay home until day 10, and then take an at home antigen test. I still had a bit of a runny nose up to day 8, but it seems resolved on day 9.
Glad to hear you and your wife are feeling better and that you both experienced mild symptoms.
Thanks.
The wife had onset a couple of days before me. She tested negative on an at home antigen test yesterday (Mon), and went back about her business.
I plan to do the same the day after tomorrow. Feeling fine.
I took advantage of the extra days off, to do a five day modified fast (fast mimicking diet), which probably reduced my white blood cell count, and might have drawn out the last symptoms a bit. Nonetheless, I seem over it today, and have just one more day to fast.
Also, I had an Army doctor, so something like: “Motrin as needed, Return To Duty” is the standard of care, if not actively bleeding.
Too early to say that they've peaked. Hope that it's the case.
I saw a guy sneeze at Costco and am playing it safe and teleworking for three weeks.
If it saves JUST ONE LIFE.
