People love to hate Brady, perhaps because he reminds us that we can be so much better than we actually are.

I think it has more to do with the fact that fans of other teams hate members of the competing teams, particularly one as successful at beating their teams as Brady has been. When I watched football, I always admired Brady's ability to succeed even tough I was never a Patriots fan. However, I have not watched football for years and no longer care about any of the players.

Did people hate Brett Favre so much? Joe Montana? Even John Elway.

Or are you saying this era all top QBs are hated? So Roethlisberger, Rodgers, Luck, and the great Peyton Manning…all hated.

Nah. I don’t see the hatred for them so much. Maybe from arch rival teams, but not overall.
