I hate having to say that any QB could possibly be better than Joe Montana but I have to admit that Brady was. I guess. Probably.

How many Hall of Famers did Montana have around him, versus Brady? And I’m not counting Randy Moss for Brady, who only went there at the tail-end of his career.

Maybe Gronk will go to Canton, but other than that?

Yeah, I’m reluctant to admit that as well. Montana, to me, was the gold standard. He could thread a needle from across the field. It was a pleasure to watch him. And he had class. But Brady has certainly earned his spot in NFL greatness.

Brady was better for longer certainly. Montana took quite a beating over his career... a serious back injury with the Niners one season. And I remember him laying on the field just about knocked out in one of his last games as a Chief. QBs are better protected today via the rules....
