Rejecting results and refusing to certify them was absolutely within Pence’s authority when he certified the Electoral Votes.

But that does not OVERTURN the election, it puts it under a higher level of scrutiny in order to be certified.

He had no such authority. And his job was to read them into the record...nothing more.

No, it was not. That is complete fiction. The office of Vice President has absolutely no such powers, authority, or role under the Constitution nor statute. Other than ruling on parliamentary procedures preceding over the session, he no powers or role other than to see to it they are counted. He "shall" count them. Very clear.
