I despise speed cameras, but I’m not sure how they are unconstitutional.

Florida has these cameras on toll rod entrances to catch people not paying the tolls.

My wife got a notice in the mail about a year ago that she had run one of these tolls and had to pay the fine.

They had them in the City of Rochester. Because so many of the violators worked for the city (and were apparently exempt) and it was also found that poorer folks were getting zapped...and couldn't and didn't pay the fine...well, they did away with them. It was a joke.

They also found that the transition time between green and red had been shortened.

The whole thing was a farce.

The bottom line was that the lights didn't make any difference at the number of accidents.

There was a story (maybe even true) of someone who did that. The police sent him back a picture of handcuffs.
