Former President Donald Trump said during a rally in Texas on Saturday that he would consider pardoning those charged in connection with the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, saying he would treat them "fairly" if he were reelected.
At Saturday's rally in Conroe, Tex., Trump said, "If I run, and if I win, we will treat those people from Jan. 6 fairly."
"And if it requires pardons, we will give them pardons," he continued. "Because they are being treated so unfairly."

* I don't care about ISIS.
* Any Republican would have trimmed taxes and done some deregulation. Apart from Bush One, it's what pretty much what all Republicans do.
* Trump tried to clean up the border. He helped. Not many deportations, though. Plenty of illegals entered while Trump was president. Granted, numbers have increased several fold under Biden.
* Trump kept us out of an Iran war. That's good. Obama and Bush did as well. All three were under pressure to intervene.
But Trump made a lot of mistakes, too.
* Filled his administration with the Kushners and Republican Deep State political hacks, rather than outsiders with an "outside the swamp" populist vision. (Which is what he promised; to drain the swamp.)
* Didn't do anything to reel in Big Tech deplatforming.
* Didn't do anything about election fraud.
* Didn't get very far on the wall. Or on anchor babies. Or Dreamers. Or on immigration in general. He slowed the flood, rather than reversed it. Which is what all Republicans do -- slow down, rather than halt or reverse, Democratic policies.
Ann Coulter would have surrounded herself with better people.
Plus, she's not as thin-skinned as Trump. Not as eager to be liked. That's a plus.
Another great speech and yes, the Jan 6 protesters should be pardoned!!
Legal entropy is in full effect, Get these folks to trial, the legal system will get tired of reviewing video of capitol police opening the door and letting people by.
The average protestor thought they were operating under BLM rules, that seems not to be the case.
Force federal prosecutors hands, they must present evidence and have the capitol police force prodvide the entire set of video evidence and all communications that day. That force does not want to release it camaera locations and communications methods, the lingering cases will be dropped quickly under “time served” is the best result that can be accomplished by the prosecutors.
If they subsequently vandalized the capitol, it is 30-60 days and one year probation so really “time served” for everyone without a federal record.
We all know how this works, by the organizations published history. Once all this is worked out, the FBI and Capitol police will sheepishly announce they had 300 people in the crowd that day working anti domestic terrorism by whipping the fervor, and that is not longer a good idea.
Do not let the CULT win (City Urban Liberal Types).
You don’t know nearly as much as you think you do.
In addition to pardons, reparations are in order, this has probably broke those financially in legal costs with some losing their jobs.
Hopefully, some leftard heads will explode. Maybe they’ll even try impeaching him again.
Which I’m SURE she could have gotten past the swamp controlled Senate, right?
What a dumb comment.
Good job, you redefine “anything” to exclude everything he accomplished.
Leftist word games. To be expected from such an obvious shill.
And assuming you are sincere, you wanted the President to be a dictator, get himself impeached, and let Judas Pence take office, right?
And you lay no blame on the GOP who stonewalled him every step of the way.
What a dumb comment, again.
Can I have some of what you’re smoking?
Congressional Republicans had 20 years to do something about voter fraud, and they didn't. I'm talking about the hanging chad fiasco in Florida in 2000, which led to lawsuits. We know how it ended, but nobody on the right, not even George W. Bush who the fraud was aimed at took the initiative to pursue eliminating voter fraud in all 50 states. That f-n party is dead to me.
Lots is gonna ‘get done’. Most of the world is sick of their corrupt ‘elites’ - and in our country that’s white liberal ‘elites’ and their violent PAID pets... black democrat thugs.
Did he take it a step further and point out that any violence or destruction that took place was the doing of pantyfa infiltrators aided and abbetted by Capitol Police?
Do you think ‘nothing will get done’ when democrats push prosecutors for office who favor criminals over citizens?
Or do you feel democrats will keep pulling that off?
you would think I said your dog is stupid.
All I said was that a politician is stupid and we should be able to do better
Worship on
I got the same load when I said BUSH was a rat, nowadays almost everyone agrees and its safe to say
Trump is far from perfect
in fact the entire political system is crap
1. those who swoon and follow with blind faith
2. or those like me who face palm and think ; OMG is this the best we can do ! Trumps actions were great, but he wasn't much of a speaker and was surrounded by moles like Pompeo and Fauci and fell into the traps, his entire term was a coup
So how many of those Capitol tourists were actually arrested on the day of Jan6?
Bueller? Buelllllllerrrrrr? Only 14.
Not many more by Jan20, and only one felony charge.
So the breadth of the tourists/offenses/eventual charges, was barely known by the time of the puppet-state White Hospice installation.
Asking Trump to gamble on a "blanket pardon" would have produced the unique sight of many of the DC Federal judiciary fighting each other on the courthouse steps to be the first to suspend/injunct/void Trump's "blanket pardon" the next day. The first Federal Judge to quietly propose a two-headed counter-attack would have gotten the job, a coin-flip between the down-low mustached hoodoo v Stone's-cold biotch:
It's amazing how stupid people get to be billionaires. Brilliant comment!
You bet...This place is loaded with posers. Fact is many of those people had not even been charged or ID'd yet, and Trump was supposed to pardon all of them?
Total BS.
