Definitely, though there are some exclusive areas along the Jersey shore. When our children were younger we’d take them on day trips and vacations to the dry towns there - no alcohol at all (former Protestant summer camps that became towns). Ocean City (by Atlantic City) is a great example; clean (no Snookies), tons of minivans (a lot of PA plates), and everything closed by 9:00 pm...
I don’t think the old CT WASP culture could handle dry towns.
