Elon Musk says Biden treats Americans 'like fools' after president meets with GM, Ford execs on electric cars
Fox News ^ | January 27 2022 | Paul Best

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that President Biden "is treating the American public like fools" after Biden met with executives from rival car companies General Motors and Ford Motor earlier this week.

Biden invited GM CEO Mary Barra and Ford CEO Jim Farley to the White House along with other business leaders to discuss his administration's $1.75 trillion Build Back Better legislation, which has stalled in the evenly split Senate after U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., refused to support the legislation.

The massive spending bill would bump up the $7,500 tax credit to $12,500 for union-made electric vehicles and would also make GM and Tesla eligible for the existing tax credit again after they hit the 200,000-vehicle limit for the credit.

Kim Paquette 💫🦄 @kimpaquette · Jan 27, 2022 Honestly how does he say this with a straight face. Shame on you President Biden for trying to cancel a great American company and rewrite EV history.

No one is buying this. What an embarrassment for the United States. @elonmusk #Tesla President Biden @POTUS

United States government official I meant it when I said the future was going to be made right here in America. Companies like GM and Ford are building more here at home than ever before.

Tesla sold a massive 66% of all EV'S sold in the US last year, that is TWICE as many EV'S as all other car makers combined. AND WITH ZERO EV SUBSIDIES.

Meanwhile GM sold just 26 EV'S in the entire 4th quarter in the US. Dementia Joe support send GM sales to the dogs.

The words of a “president” who is a simple-minded, senile, corrupt old fool.

The union of private industry and government. Everyone makes money.

Classic fascism.

Not that I *want* to buy an EV, if I end up having to though because that’s all there will be in 10 years or so, it’ll be a Tesla. (Or perhaps a Ford Lightning.)

AFAIC, GM & Stellantis (Fiat/Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram) can fo eff themselves. Any car company that took bailout money can kiss my lily white ass.

Well I see Biden as an old demented and fully corrupt individual who has used and abused all his offices for decades. And his family equally so.

The Biden Crime Family is a most suitable name for the bunch of them.

My wish and prayer is that AMERICANS WILL FORGET ABOUT ELECTRIC VEHICLES.

They are worse for the environment and not very good in a crisis situation.

I like Elon, but I wish he would go away.

Barra may be the bomb in the Boardroom but her ideas on car design are just terrible.

She pulled the strings that created the Aztec, any wonder why the Chevy Silverado has the same ugliness.

Musk seems to be getting way more conservative with age. He’s been on a roll now. It’ll probably get him in big trouble with the government agencies like the FAA and EPA that he has to deal with.

Yep, now the FAA will decide they need another year to finish their review of the Boca Chica launch facility.

Mr. Musk needs to understand that he cannot criticize the most vindictive administration in history and get away with it.

Well Musk is fast getting beyond the clutches of the highly politicized Biden federal agencies.
Tesla sales in the vast Chinese market will overtake Tesla sales in the US in the not too distant future. Tesla is the number one car seller in countries like Norway, Switzerland etc.
As for SpaceX, well SpaceX is the only company on the planet, outside Russia, can can send astronauts to the Space station.
Dementia could always go back to kissing Russian butt to get our astronauts to the Space station and watch his poll numbers collapse beyond repair.

“ Mr. Musk needs to understand that he cannot criticize the most vindictive administration in history and get away with it”

Not that it matters, but that statement infuriates me. You are right though, however we need to be more like Mr. Musk, there’s strength in numbers.

" to discuss his administration's $1.75 trillion Build Back Better legislation"

Fox doesn't understand that it is now "Build back Bolshevik", not "Build Back Better". It's time to acknowledge reality and state the facts.

We are living in the plot from “Atlas Shrugged”. Biden is the fictional Head of State, Mr. Thompson. Elon Musk is Hank Reardon, the industrialist of Reardon Steel. I’m not sure who is playing the part of Dagny Taggart.

“Mr. Thompson, the Head of the State, was a man who possessed the quality of never being noticed. In any group of three, his person became indistinguishable, and when seen alone it seemed to evoke a group of its own, composed of the countless persons he resembled.”

Which will have ZERO effect on Falcon 9/Falcon Heavy launches from Florida, which is on record pace this year.

Mr. Musk needs to understand that he cannot criticize the most vindictive administration in history and get away with it.

But he will and he is.
Just how is Mister Biden going to get his astronauts to the Space station without Elon Musk and SpaceX?

Not to mention the real cost is more like $5 Trillion than $1.75 Trillion.

Barra is NOT the bomb anywhere.
She's run GM into the pits.
GM sales keep falling every quarter despite massive support from Dementia Joe with White House shows. Only 26 GM EV sales in the US in the entire 4th quarter is not impressive. A total disgrace.

SpaceX has flown multiple missions with its new and spacious manned Dragon capsule. Meanwhile NASA struggles to set an initial launch date for an unmanned flight of its SLS capsule. NASA is incapable of doing something today which they could do over a half-century ago, back in the age of slide-rules.

She’s kept the job. That is the mark of success, not her performance. Kinda like Carly Fiorina at HP.
