What about them? THAAD is a defensive system and it poses no threat to China. It only poses a threat to Chinese missiles fired at our allies and Guam.

The claim of Western promise not to expand NATO to the east has been disproved over and over again.

The claim is based on a few oral statements allegedly given by NATO’s Mr Werner (now dead), German FM Mr Genscher (dead), and American FS Mr Baker to their Soviet counterparts, referenced by someone else. The most quoted sources for this seem to be a few German publications, among them Der Spiegel.
