A new 'linkage center' aimed at connecting homeless street addicts with drug rehab facilities opened in San Francisco last week - but distressing images show an open air illicit drug consumption site that is now littered with needles and crowded with addicts shooting up in broad daylight.

As long as the various public parks etc. are permitted to be utilized by addicts openly doing drugs without arrest they will have problems.
Basically California and other states actually support drug addition and the addicts to continue their death roll.

Those poor people. So sad.
I did not read the story, but it reminds me of Copenhagen, Denmark when I visited the city 25 years ago.
At a certain time each day a government vehicle would come by to hand out drugs.
About 30 minutes later an ambulance would come by to take away the folks who had overdosed.

This is a city run facility that allows drug users to use drugs on city property. If one of these addicts dies in the facility is the city liable? Will the addict’s family sue the city?

I’m all for “You want help to get off drugs, it’s free, and available. You want to shoot up? That’s on you. You OD and die? That’s ALSO on you. Have a nice trip.”
