Arizona rates even worse - #40. Maybe some of our folks can move to Florida and the folks in Florida can flee to...New York! Won’t hold my breath waiting for it to happen, though.
BTW - our “dry heat” is still heat and we have scorpions the size of school buses.

What a joke. These clowns rated Florida 50th in affordability and Connecticut #1. I moved from Connecticut to Florida many decades ago. I bought a new house in Florida on a golf course which was more than twice the size of the one I sold in Connecticut. The cost of the new house was less than half of what I sold the Connecticut house for.
Heed this warning!
Who needs low taxes, less oppressive government, more personal freedom, respect for law and order (& cops, sheriffs, LEOs), no totalitarian gun laws (ala Chicago, NJ or NY), fewer commie teachers, knuckle dragging patriots and other undesireables waving American flags, abundant & affordable fresh local produce & seafood, moderate climate, beautiful beaches open to all (unlike CT), a generally polite & happy population (except for Massholes and other northern escapees), more tolerance and fewer Karens?
Think of all the things Florida doesn’t have that make the democrat governed states and cities such great places to live.
That’s why millions of Floridians, Texans and others from Free States are flocking to the northeast and other leftest strongholds every year!
This means we should all move to Florida. If leftist media says it is horrible, than in reality, it is actually fantastic.
The education angle is particularly comical. FSU and UF have both surpassed many northeast public Universities (like Penn State) in the past decade. Also, public education in FL is affordable (unlike other states) due to the Bright Futures program. Bright Futures should be a model for other states, but they don’t want affordable tuition obviously.
Then head for Wyoming or Texas.
